Valentines Day... the time to fall in love.
Acting on a tip about a kidnapped boy, the Hunters arrive in Clarksville, Iowa. They arrive on Valentine's Day, but are interrupted by police reports of a ritual killing. The team look into it, and find a young woman named Sharon Decker. She appears to have been pushed off the bridge and has an infinity symbol cut into her arm.
Tropes
- Accidental Murder: Andrew didn't mean to kill Sharon, but he didn't want to do the suicide pact with her and accidentally pushed her off the bridge.
- The Bus Came Back: Ace Boome is a suspect again after the player last saw him in Grimsborough.
- Killing in Self-Defense: Andrew clearly didn't want to die along with Sharon, and accidently shoved her to her demise as a result. The Hunters suspect he'd get a lenient sentence because of this motive.
- Love Potion: Luke ends up drinking one thinking it doesn’t work. Sure enough it does and he falls in love with Fabian, much to the latter's joy. This forces Gwen to become the player's partner for Chapter 3.
- Let Us Never Speak of This Again: When Luke is cured of the potion, he asks the player never to speak of the mess again.
- Shout-Out: Andrew bears a striking resemblance to Archie Andrews.
- Suicide Pact: This turns out to be what the death of Sharon was supposed to be, as she wanted Andrew to kill himself with her so they could be together forever. Understandably, Andrew didn't take the idea too well.
- Together in Death: Sharon wanted her and Andrew to commit suicide to invoke this. Andrew was reasonably freaked out.
- Valentine's Day Episode: This episode was released a day before Valentines and even features an appearance from Cupid himself.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Jacob is not happy when he learns Hope went against his orders and asked Arthur for help in dealing with Gwen's nightmares.
- Wham Episode: While it's not a major revelation compared to all the other ones before and after, it's revealed Ace Boome is Cupid himself.
