Tropes:
- Diurnal Nocturnal Animal: Inverted. The vulture is seen active at the night Bad Moves is performing, despite vultures being diurnal.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Cariss, one of Bernard's friends, appears in the audience for the concert. She would make her actual debut, with a refined design, in "Council of the Creek."
- Feathered Fiend: The vulture which nests at the abandoned barn and attacked Craig when he came near its nest, traumatizing him. Although justified it was just territorial.
- Misplaced Wildlife: The titular vulture looks like an old world vulture, not a turkey or black vulture.
- Shout-Out: There's a poster in Bad Moves' garage that reads "Jeff Rose - In Stock". This is a shout-out to Jeff Rosenstock, who composes the music for the series and has toured with Bad Moves in real life.
- The episode features a shout-out to the Silent Barn, a beloved but now-defunct music venue in Brooklyn, New York.
