• Bait-and-Switch: In the beginning of the episode, Numbuh 2 pressures Numbuh 4 to tell something important to Numbuh 3 (implied to be his feelings for her). At the end of the episode, 4 tells 3...that she's got a popcorn kernel stuck between her teeth.
• Inkblot Test: Professor Snuggles and Mrs. Wubsy Tubsy give this to Numbuh 4. When they show him one that looks like a butterfly, he responds "a caterpillar with its guts spewing out".
• Shout-Out: The scene of Numbuh 4 being chased through the tall grass is a reference to The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
• The Stinger: Numbuh 3 is still yelling at Numbuh 4 until they find the treehouse covered in Rainbow Monkeys with Numbuh 4 crying that they've finally done it. Then Numbuh 3 reveals that she redecorated.
