  • Anime Hair: Parodied in Numbuh 4's story as his powering up only makes his hair grow to the same height as the Delightful Children-Frieza beast.
  • Art Shift: Each section is in a different art-style:
    • Numbuh 1's version is a CGI action sequence.
    • Numbuh 2's section is in the style of a Silver Age comic.
    • Numbuh 3's section is a colorful scribbly stick-figure world.
    • Numbuh 4's section is a full-on parody of Dragon Ball Z.
    • Numbuh 5's section styles itself after UPA cartoons.
  • Brown Note: The anchovies in the DCFDTL's pizza, which depower Numbuh 2.
  • Companion Cube: Numbuh 3 calls the box "Boxy" and it becomes her best friend.
  • Expy:
    • Numbuh 2 imagines himself as one for Superman, while Bruce (one of the DCFDTL) looks exactly like Silver Age Brainiac.
    • For the Dragon Ball Z sequence, Numbuh 4 becomes a Goku Expy called "Numbuh 4 Go", while the Delightful Children become a version of Frieza.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Numbuh 86 is her usual rude self to Sector V, but she isn't exactly wrong that they failed a completely simple and straightforward mission: pick up a pizza. Instead they wasted time and resources stealing a different pizza from the DCFDTL and their actual pizza was left back at the restaurant. The shameful looks all five of them have make it clear they know she's right.
  • Lip Lock: Naturally happens in Numbuh 4's segment, given what it's parodying.
  • MacGuffin: The box (AKA the "goods") that Sector V is tasked to protect. We find out at the end that it's just an ordinary pizza box.
  • Multiple Head Case: Strangely enough, all of the stories except Numbuh 1 and 2's depict the Delightful Children as one being with five heads.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Never has picking up a pizza looked so awesome.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: After the chase with Numbuh 5, the DCFDTL yell out in fury, “Give! Us! That! Box! It's! Ours!”
  • "Rashomon"-Style: All of the kids take their turns describing how they tried to steal the box away from the Delightful Children.
  • Residual Self-Image:
    • Numbuh 2 sees himself as a superhero and Numbuh 1 as a frightened bystander.
    • Numbuh 4 thinks he's some muscular Goku-like protagonist.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Sector V finds out the pizza they tried to steal belonged to the Delightful Children all along. So they give it back.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Numbuh 2's story is a Superman parody.
    • Numbuh 4's segment is a parody of Dragon Ball Z.
    • Numbuh 5's segment looks a lot like The Off-Beats, unsurprisingly given Mo Willems (creator of The Off-Beats) worked on KND.
  • Unreliable Narrator: As the title hints, the perspective of each operative is only very loosely connected to reality.
