Tyrone and Tandy enter the mind of the catatonic Ivan Hess and end up trapped inside.
- Bottle Episode: Most of the episode takes place inside Ivan's memory of the plataform explosion.
- "Groundhog Day" Loop: Ivan's mind is stuck repeating the minutes before the Roxxon platform explosion. He's been stuck this way for eight years.
- Hate Plague: The plataform workers in Ivan's mind turn violent and feral, attacking everyone they see after being exposed to the effects of the energy discharge, or when touched by someone already infected.
- Journey to the Center of the Mind: Tandy and Tyrone enter Ivan's mind to try to bring him out of his catatonia.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: The constant repetition of the same minutes prior to the explosion over and over again have made Ivan forget his identity, name, daughter and even reality itself. After about 200 times trapped in the loop, Tandy's memories also begins to falter.
- The Pollyanna: Despite being trapped in a nightmare "Groundhog Day" Loop surrounded by mindless murderbots and having forgotten everything about himself, Ivan is upbeat and chipper.
- Took a Level in Badass: After being trapped in the loop for subjective years, Tandy's gotten much better at controlling her powers.
- Year Inside, Hour Outside: In the five seconds Tyrone was outside the loop, Tandy has gone through the loop hundreds of times and forgotten who Ivan is.
