- Blind Shoulder Toss: Harry apparently did hundreds of those in the opening montage.
- The Caper: The Charmed Ones pull one to get access to the Black Amber Tree to get their powers back.
- Call-Back: Mel and Maggie recall how, when they first went through Witchness Protection, they lost their powers, and therefore the Power of Three, but then regained their powers via black amber, and theorise the same method would work again this time.
- Crapsaccharine World: Inara's world looks like a magical utopia at first. But everyone's been brainwashed and unable to think freely, Inara rules as an iron-fisted dictator, and all the normal humans have been transformed into plants.
- Fantastic Racism: Inara chose to turn all humans on Earth into plants because she refused to believe they could live in harmony with magical beings. Jordan calls her out on this, stating she didn't give them a chance.
- Time Skip: Nearly 8 months to a year has passed since Inara's resurrection.
