Milo wakes up in a panic. It rained and rained and rained last night, and he forgot to bring his Flamingo outfit in from the clothesline! He hopes he doesn't get any calls, because he is way out of commission. Then – uh-oh! A kid in trouble! Figures. It's Max, and he's freaking out as it seems that after the rainstorm, a whole bunch of earthworms have emerged to the surface - and he's surrounded! Will the Captain be able to overcome the cumbersome weight of his cape to challenge the Worm Monsters and drive them back underground? Or will the worms fight back?! Yep. Worms vs. kids.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Bird-Poop Gag: Milo tries using a bird caller to have a swarm of birds to chase the worms away but due to the caller making a terrible sound which made a swarm of seagulls angry, they try to start pooping on them.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • To prevent Max from an army of worms coming after him, Milo uses a remote control hand to lure the worms out by feeding them an apple as worms like to eat them. However, it didn't work out as the hand touches water, causing it to malfunction as well as the controller being rusted as a result of his Power Pack getting wet. Just when the worms went inside of his Power Pack implying that they ate the apple, they instead ate mutant-making products, causing them to turn into mutant freak worms.
    • Milo then uses a bird caller to call a swarm of birds to chase the worms away. But due to that specific caller makes a terrible sound after blowing it, it causes a swarm of seagulls to get angry and starts pooping on them.
    • Milo then gives Lizbeth and Max some specially designed flamingo cardboard shields to protect them from the worm army. But due to Milo leaving his Power Pack outside while it was raining, the rain made the shields soft and mildew causing them to not be strong enough, and he realizes that he's out of novelty items to solve this problem.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Milo uses his "Bird Brain" to make his own luck with the King Worm in order to let Max free from getting slimed by the worm army. He decides to bring out a Two-Headed Coin to toss out — if he wins: the worms will not follow Max again and if the worms win: they will never play in Max's yard again. Even though the plan of making his own luck being risky, it turns out that the coin lands on the edge, causing the worms to surrender and leave Max alone. However, due to Max realizing that the worms aren't nearly as scary after defeating them, he made a compromise to the worms that they can have the garden, while he can have his play area, which they accepted.
  • Heads, Tails, Edge: When Milo tosses out a coin to guess if the coin will land on heads or tails, the King Worm says "heads" even though Milo was meant to say that. Despite this, the coin ends landing edgewise on a puddle of mud, causing them to leave Max alone, although he later compromised to them that they can have the garden which they accepted.
  • It's All My Fault: Milo keeps blaming the rain throughout the episode as a result of the rain getting his Captain Flamingo outfit and his novelty items badly wet. However, it's actually his own fault for leaving them there in the first place while it was raining.
  • Mutagenic Food: Although it seems like the worms actually went inside of Milo's Power Pack to eat the apple that Milo was trying to feed them, they instead ate his glow-in-the-dark yo-yo and toxic sludge fudge, causing them to turn into mutant freak worms.
  • Oh, Crap!: Milo finds out that he left out his Captain Flamingo outfit outside while it was raining, causing his entire outfit, as well as his Power Pack, to be completely soaked.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Lizbeth suddenly yells to Milo while using his "Bird Brain" as he keeps blaming the rain for causing his outfit and his novelty items getting badly wet although it was actually his fault for leaving them outside in the rain in the first place.
Milo: Birdbrain, what do I do about this situation which is totally not my fault?
Lizbeth: THAT'S IT! STOP BLAMING EVERYTHING ELSE FOR YOUR PROBLEMS! YOU LEFT YOUR STUFF OUT IN THE RAIN! YOU MADE YOUR OWN LUCK!
Milo: Make my own luck? Yes! That's brilliant!
  • This Means War!: The worm army declares war against Max due to the vibrations from his feet whenever he walks or runs causes the floor to shake underground where the worms living there almost shake them out of their homes.
King Worm: We worms won't take this lying down. This means war!
Max: Okay, I'm really freaking out!
  • Two-Headed Coin: Milo uses a two-headed coin in order to make his own luck to the worm army.
  • Watch Out for That Tree!: Just when Milo was about to drive his wheel back from Max's house, he accidentally hits a tree off-screen as a result of his wheel also getting wet and rusty from the rain.
    Milo: I forgive you, rain!
    (CRASH!)
Milo: Blasted tree! Why did you have to be planted in my way?

Milo has discovered something disturbing in the basement — his Mom's super-secret "present-hiding spot". And he's found the Quantum Vigilante Stealth Interceptor that he wanted for his birthday. But before he can finish tidying up and not get caught snooping, a kid in trouble! It's Rutger who has also been playing where he wasn't supposed to and the garage is a confined space where dad keeps some of his more prized possessions, and now an entire shelf of neatly arranged sports toys is on the brink of collapse! That’s two kids in trouble!

Tropes in this episode:

  • Chekhov's Gun: While looking for old comics in the basement, Milo tries looking in a cooler and finds a remote-controlled Quantum Vigilante Stealth Interceptor for his birthday. However, he finds out that the cooler is his mom's secret present hiding spot and decides to put it back because he snoops the item, he might not get anything for his birthday. He eventually uses it anyways later in the episode to try to bring down Rutger's runaway model biplane from his dad. Although Rutger's model plane landed safely, his model plane on the other hand, got destroyed in the process.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • To save Rutger's shelf of sports stuff due to him playing the garage causing the shelf to loosen, Milo uses his inflatagator to prevent the shelf from falling. However, it prevents both of them from moving as a result of the inflatagator getting stuck on them so he then uses his telescopic salad fork to unplug the valve to the inflatable. But once he tries to unplugging the valve, he misses, causing it to accidentally hit the shelf and activates his dad's model biplane with his favorite bobble head riding it, which it then leaves the garage and will get Rutger in trouble.
    • Milo then uses his Quantum Vigilante Stealth Interceptor to try to bring down the runaway biplane. Although Rutger's plane managed to land safely, his model plane got destroyed in the process which could lead to Milo getting in trouble as if his mom find out about it as well as snooping the item in the first place, he might not get anything for his birthday ever again.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Milo uses his "Bird Brain" even though Lizbeth can't think straight due to her allergies and mentions that nothing fits together. This led to Milo having an idea by showing the broken pieces of the model plane to his mother thinking that the toy call be put together and didn't came pre-assembled. After Lizbeth mentions that the dry air is starting to bug her even after her allergy season was over, Milo suggests to her to use the humidifier in the basement between the furnace and cooler, which then concerns his mother due to him causing a mess earlier in the episode which is where he finds the model plane in the first place. Fortunately, during the Narrator's So Once Again, the Day Is Saved moment, Lizbeth gives Milo a new pair of the model plane as a birthday gift for him.
  • Foul Medicine: Lizbeth has to take some medicine from her mother, either chewable licorice tablets or eucalyptus bubblegum liquid. Although both medicines causes her to cringe from their bad taste, her mother feeds her the latter anyways.
  • Foreshadowing: Lizbeth's mom suggests to Lizbeth that if she goes outside, she has to stay away from long-haired cats, blackberries and grass or else her allergy will get worse. Guess what stuff that she lands on after trying to catch Rutger's runaway model biplane with a net just after she sneezed? Yep, the same stuff that her mother mentioned to stay away from, thus making her allergy worse.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: When Milo tries to explain to his mother about his broken model plane being a toy that can be put together and not a pre-assembled toy to try to avert trouble (since in reality, his model plane breaks while trying to save Rutger's model plane from escaping although he wasn't supposed to use it anyway as that was a present for his birthday), the background music playing behind starts to get slower and slower before coming to a complete stop once Lizbeth starts sneezing over the dry air.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is a pun of Rear Window.
  • Plot Allergy: In addition to pollen, Lizbeth is also allergic to long-haired cats, blackberries and grass.
  • Sick Episode: For Lizbeth, as she develops a cold allergy as a result of a high pollen count, preventing her to go outside to be with Milo.
