Synopsis:
Flack's girlfriend's penthouse is broken into while he's there and the burglar and an accomplice escape in a high-tech car. Mac continues to receive harassing phone calls at 3:33 am, and Stella begins receiving gifts from a secret admirer. Mac's suitcase is eventually delivered to his office, but with someone else's lock on it. Upon opening it, he discovers a boy's bloody t-shirt.Tropes for the episode:
- Energy Weapon: The burglars' car is equipped with laser beams, which are eventually determined to have scalped a man lying on a sidewalk.
- Flashed-Badge Hijack: Flack flashes his badge to commandeer a taxi...and runs up a $60 cab fare. Chief Sinclair tells him if he does that again, it'll come out of his salary.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: Stella's Little Black Dress while undercover with Flack at a party has a plunging neckline.
- Pun-Based Title: for YOLO and the James Bond film You Only Live Twice.
- Shout-Out: Nods are made to James Bond, Batman and Speed Racer. Among them: the combination lock on Mac's suitcase is set between 006 and 007 when it arrives; a radio dj calls the thieves James Bond wannabes; and Danny & Lindsay good-naturedly argue over which car is best, the Batmobile or the Mach 5.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Before Mac's suitcase turns up, he dons an impressive new shirt & Danny remarks, "Whoa, Mac, back in black!"
