Original air date: 2/5/2016

The Guppies are excited for China's Lunar New Year Festival, where they will operate a giant festival dragon in the grand parade.

Tropes:

  • Fun with Homophones: The peeking creature that Gil and Goby are afraid of ends up being a Peking duck.
  • Imperial China: In honor of the Chinese New Year, the Guppies have fun learning all about China’s history, geography, and traditions.
  • New Year Has Come: A variation; the Guppies are celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year in this episode.
  • Running Gag: The Guppies keep getting scared of the dragon puppet for the Chinese New Year parade - both the idea of a dragon and the puppet itself.
  • Squeaky Eyes: In the Once per Episode recess Imagine Spot, Gil and Goby have to keep running away from a pair of blinking eyes that are peeking out at them from different hiding places.
