During spring cleaning at their home, Boy accidentally ruins the family portrait of him and his siblings. They call in a professional to help take a new photo to replace the ruined image, only for Boy and Girl's differing methods to complicate things.
"Family Photo-No" provides examples of:
- Break the Cutie: Cheese did not take well to having to see Brie-anna destroyed by Cat again. Despite telling Boy how traumatic it was for her, Cheese is forced by him to do so, causing her to kiss Brie-anna before reluctantly throwing her to Cat's direction, making Cheese melt down to the floor in tears once it happens. Even after Mouse retrieves half of the damaged Brie-anna, Lena forces him to reenact the whole moment again, causing Cheese to melt and cry again. The next scene she's in, Cheese is still sobbing while holding the upper half of Brie-anna.
- Butt-Monkey:
- The animals and Cheese get put through the wringer throughout the episode having to put up with Boy and Girl's failed attempts on trying to make the perfect replacement photo.
- In addition to having to reexperience Brie-anna getting destroyed by Cat twice again, Cheese ends up suffering in the photo montage where in one photo, the gang cheers while she jumps up, only for the next to have her slam to the floor face down, to the others' shock. The same can be said when she's being pushed on the swing and the same thing happens to her again.
- Lena has the unfortunate experience of having to put up with the siblings' constant bickering and the failed photo attempts. She eventually loses her patience with the six and ultimately gets fed up with them insisting on still taking their picture in spite of her refusals. Even after finally taking the perfect picture, Lena screams at them to leave her alone and opted to never see them again.
- Irony: The gang spent the whole episode attempting to have the perfect replacement photo taken, with ideas such as Boy's attempt on reenacting the day of the original picture and Girl having the family dress up in certain outfits complicating things, resulting in unsuccessful pictures. However, just a simple high-five pose the six give together ended up being the satisfactory replacement for the family portrait.
- Jerkass Realization: After being called out for their constant competing ruining their chances of taking the perfect photo and Lena's patience with them, Boy and Girl reconcile with each other and their siblings and learn that they should be more cooperative in trying to fix things.
- Laser-Guided Karma:
- Cheese showed no concern with trying to fix the family photo and opted to replace the image with a photo of her own that has just six copies of her in it instead. Boy's attempt at reenacting the day the photo was taken includes having Cheese's cherished plush Brie-anna destroyed by Cat, which Cheese cries about upon seeing Cat gleefully doing so twice over.
- When Boy forces her to have her nails painted purple again for the photo, Girl gets back at Boy by telling him that she also had her toenails painted too and raises her foot at Boy to get him to give her a pedicure. Boy attempts to refuse, but Lena makes him do so anyway. Unfortunately for Girl, Boy ends up doing a lousy job on her nails.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
- In an attempt to prove to Girl that he could clean the family portrait better, Boy accidentally smudges the photo, kickstarting the plot of the episode.
- Boy and Girl one-up with each other to see who can help make the perfect replacement family photo, eventually making Lena lose her patience with the six to the point of trying to leave their home.
- No Sympathy: Boy's first attempt at a replacement photo is to reenact on what happened on that day, which includes Cheese being upset from Brie-anna getting destroyed. Boy insists to Cheese on sacrificing Brie-anna again and doesn't feel sorry for her when she's distraught again, being more concerned with how precise he wants things to be for the photo attempt.
- Only One Finds It Fun: Cat is Boy's only sibling who seems to benefit from his reenactment plan, as Dog gets exhausted from getting all muscular, Cheese cries from Brie-anna being destroyed again, Mouse ends up in pain from attempting to save the plush, and Girl gets unsatisfied with Boy's efforts on painting her nails.
- Slasher Smile: Cat exhibits plenty of glee with slicing Brie-anna right as she does the deed.
- What the Hell, Hero?: The animals and Cheese call out Boy and Girl for the constant competing driving Lena away from them.
