While Bandit is trying to work from home, his daughters come into his study and express interest in the yoga ball that he sits on. He bounces them on the ball, and while Bluey enjoys this, Bingo feels a bit motion-sick. Then, the girls steal the ball, run off with it, and dress it up as a posh woman.

The girls begin playing with the ball, but Bandit swipes it back and starts working again. However, Bluey convinces him to play a game called "Delivery Chair" with her and Bingo. So, he plays the game, in which he puts them on a wheelie chair, pretends he's delivering parcels, and throws them onto the bed. Bluey likes this, but Bingo doesn't. Then, the three of them play a game called "Raiders", in which Bandit rolls a ball down the hall and the girls run from it, but again, Bingo doesn't like this as the ball rolls over her.

Bingo goes outside and cries, and Chilli finds her and asks what's wrong. Bingo says that Bandit was being "too rough" with her, so Chilli encourages her to use her "big-girl bark" (barking as a way of saying no). They go back inside and explain the situation to Bandit, who apologises, and uses the "big-girl bark" to determine Bingo's threshold for "roughness".

Then, he tries to go back to work, only to find Bluey playing with the ball.

Tropes:

  • Comedic Work, Serious Scene: The episode is about Bandit and the girls playing rough, goofy games, but there's one serious moment when Bingo lies down under the tree's porch and silently weeps when she feels like Bandit's been too rough towards her.
  • Furry Reminder: While crying, Bingo curls up like a real dog, and her way of saying no is by barking.
  • Innocently Insensitive: At first, Bandit doesn't catch on to how uncomfortable Bingo is with the rough way he's playing with her and Bluey, even casually telling her to walk it off after she's run over by the yoga ball during the game of "Raiders". Bandit immediately apologizes to Bingo when she explains that he's been playing too roughly with her, stating he didn't realize and promises to be more considerate in the future.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Bingo and Bluey don't usually have a hard time playing, even with their much larger dad, but Bingo makes faces she's never made before or since in 'Yoga Ball' because her dad is playing too rough, and by the end of the episode Bandit learns to take her feelings into consideration more while Bingo learns to use her "big girl bark".
  • Parental Bonus: The "Raiders" game is a reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark; a reference the parents will probably get, but the kids in the target audience likely won't since the movie came out 18 years before this episode was released.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Bluey stares dolefully at Bandit to convince him to play a game with his yoga ball chair. Bandit refers to this tactic as the "please face", and says it still gets him every time.
  • Shout-Out: Bandit, Bluey and Bingo play a game called "Raiders" with the titular yoga ball, where Bandit rolls the ball down the hallway and the girls have to outrun it like the famous boulder scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
  • Toilet Humour:
    • Bandit claims to have "wrecked [his] back changing [his daughters'] nappies".
    • At the end, Bluey puts the ball on the toilet and pretends it's offended at being walked in on.

Bluey & Bingo: Ball Raiders

Bandit plays "Raiders" with Bluey and Bingo, which if an action fan, could already know is an Indiana Jones shout-out. However, it seems as if Bandit is playing too hard with Bingo.

How well does it match the trope?
