The Heeler sisters are watching as Bandit installs a makeshift swing. Then, Judo (the Heelers' neighbour who's around Bluey's age) pokes her head over the fence and watches too. Bingo says that they have similar swings at Bluey's school, but Judo boasts that she already knows that being Bluey's friend. Then, when Bandit goes inside, the three girls decide to play a game called Butterflies.

Bluey explains the game: one player has to play a caterpillar, who goes into the swing and pretends to be a pupa, then climbs out and pretends to be a butterfly, while avoiding being caught by the other two players, the butterfly catchers. Bingo wants to be a caterpillar first, but Judo insists on going first.

While Judo plays the caterpillar, Bingo complains about how bossy Judo is, and Bluey agrees that Judo is bossy but thinks it's because she's lonely. Judo "hatches", then is caught by the Heeler sisters, and Bingo has the next turn (despite Judo's protests that she's too small).

Bluey and Judo are impatient, since Bingo has trouble climbing into the swing and sings while in it. Judo gets so impatient she goads Bluey into running away from Bingo. Bingo comes out and starts pretending to be a butterfly, but is shocked to find the other girls playing clapping games instead of playing the game. Instead of restarting the game, Judo has Bluey run away again, this time all the way to her house. This makes Bingo sad.

Meanwhile, Bluey is feeling guilty, but Judo isn't, and has Bluey play a game called Phones with her. Both Heeler sisters are very sad (Bingo for having been abandoned and Bluey for running away from her sister), and Bluey eventually decides to go back to Bingo.

She apologizes, but Bingo doesn't reply, so Bluey sits down and cries. However, when Bluey starts singing, Bingo finishes the song, cheering them both up. Judo comes back, still playing Phones, but the sisters hide in the swing. Judo finds them and berates Bluey for running away, but Bingo points out that she did the same to her. Bluey decides to put the kibosh on all running away and the three girls make up. Then, they all play at being the catchers and pounce on Bandit.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Blowing a Raspberry: Bingo recites a poem to a ladybug, after which the Heeler girls blow raspberries.
  • Canine Confusion: Chocolate is poisonous to dogs, yet Judo pretends to have tried to buy a chocolate eclair in her Phones game. Later episodes establish that dogs eating chocolate is a regular thing in this world.
  • Death Glare: Bingo gives Judo the evil eye when pointing out that she ran away from her.
  • Easily Forgiven: It doesn't take long for the Heeler sisters to accept Judo's apology for excluding her, outside of a simple request she not repeat the offense. Granted, it doesn't hurt that Judo expresses remorse for having unintentionally ruined hers and Bingo's fun.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: As pointed out by this person here, when Judo tells Bluey to run away from Bingo, you can see her making a concerned face, knowing she has to act fast, and as she runs away, she has a look of regret on her face.
  • Furry Reminder: The girls wag their tails when they hug.
  • Heel Realization: Judo is initially on the offensive towards Bingo, but during an argument between her and the Heeler sisters, she softens at hearing Bluey voice that she also did her wrong by ignoring her as well. She doesn't argue with that statement, realizing her bossiness did her closest friend a disservice.
  • Lost Food Grievance: Discussed when Judo, on her Phones game, pretends to be angry that the shop was out of chocolate eclairs.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Bluey feels very guilty for being convinced to run away from Bingo.
  • Never My Fault: Subverted. When coming to Bingo to apologize for abandoning her, Bluey is rather quick to blame Judo for "making" her do it. But then, she realizes that's not accurate: she had a part in this by choosing to follow Judo's lead.
  • Peer Pressure Makes You Evil: Played with. For one, "Evil" is a strong word for it. It's more like "Peer Pressure makes you Insensitive". Judo keeps encouraging Bluey to abandon Bingo during their game, and run from her when she confronts them. Not long after, when Bluey goes to apologize to Bingo, she initially blames that Judo "made" her do it, but then admits that she wasn't exactly forced into the act: she chose to follow Judo's lead, letting the episode explore the complicated aspect of peer pressure.
  • Running Gag: Bandit keeps trying to put away the laundry, only to be bothered by the girls.
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: Bingo says, "flap" when flapping her arms pretending to be a butterfly, then later Judo says, "Ring ring" during the game of Phones.
