The Heeler sisters are watching as Bandit installs a makeshift swing. Then, Judo (the Heelers' neighbour who's around Bluey's age) pokes her head over the fence and watches too. Bingo says that they have similar swings at Bluey's school, but Judo boasts that she already knows that being Bluey's friend. Then, when Bandit goes inside, the three girls decide to play a game called Butterflies.
Bluey explains the game: one player has to play a caterpillar, who goes into the swing and pretends to be a pupa, then climbs out and pretends to be a butterfly, while avoiding being caught by the other two players, the butterfly catchers. Bingo wants to be a caterpillar first, but Judo insists on going first.
While Judo plays the caterpillar, Bingo complains about how bossy Judo is, and Bluey agrees that Judo is bossy but thinks it's because she's lonely. Judo "hatches", then is caught by the Heeler sisters, and Bingo has the next turn (despite Judo's protests that she's too small).
Bluey and Judo are impatient, since Bingo has trouble climbing into the swing and sings while in it. Judo gets so impatient she goads Bluey into running away from Bingo. Bingo comes out and starts pretending to be a butterfly, but is shocked to find the other girls playing clapping games instead of playing the game. Instead of restarting the game, Judo has Bluey run away again, this time all the way to her house. This makes Bingo sad.
Meanwhile, Bluey is feeling guilty, but Judo isn't, and has Bluey play a game called Phones with her. Both Heeler sisters are very sad (Bingo for having been abandoned and Bluey for running away from her sister), and Bluey eventually decides to go back to Bingo.
