Are Aoi and Eve Okay Together? The Doubles Championship Begins (葵とイヴで大丈夫？ 開催、ダブルス選手権, Aoi to Ivu de Daijōbu? Kaisai, Daburusu Senshuken) is the twelfth episode of the first season of Birdie Wing.
The Qualifying Tournaments for the All-Japan Girls High School Doubles Championships have Begun and Eve and Aoi are poised to make a statement to the rest of their competitors that they are ready to battle for the Title.
Tropes:
- Affectionate Gesture to the Head: When Aoi expresses excitement in the doubles, Eve pats her head reassuringly. This causes a Luminescent Blush from Aoi. The background is filled with Love Bubbles and Sparkles.
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Bad girls in this case. The other competitors at the All-Japan Girls High School Doubles Championships are taken with Eve’s looks enough to look past her hostile personality.
- Japanese Politeness: In contrast to Eve, Aoi cheerfully introduces herself and her partner to her competitors in the Doubles Championships and asks to get along.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Played for Laughs. Lily is pissed that Eve got her a Shy-Tarn and demands that next time she gets on with “MG” on the box.
- Villain Takes an Interest: Mizuho thinks that the strong become stronger by being challenged and wants Aoi to be a challenge for her.
