- Armor-Piercing Question: When Morgg offers to give Ultimate Kevin whatever he wants, Kevin asks “Can you bring Kwarrel back?”
- Bittersweet Ending: The heroes put a stop to Morgg's drug operations, but Ultimate Kevin is still on the loose. Even worse, Ben is starting to consider killing Kevin in order to end the threat he poses.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Amidst anyone and everyone who’s wronged him, Kevin hospitalised a kid from his school who owed him money.
- From Bad to Worse: Morgg was once a simple but amoral guard who had Irrational Hatred for Kwarrel. Now, he's an evil warden, who used the prisoners as slave labour in order to mine a resource he can sell as a drug.
- G-Rated Drug: The blue dust Morgg forces the prisoners to mine is sold as such. It makes their users hallucinate, as Ben and Gwen soon learn the hard way.

Word of God is that he once changed back into a human long enough to change clothes, before reverting to his mutant state - Magic Pants: In the flashback, Kevin’s clothes are restored to intact once he reverts to human.
- Mentor Occupational Hazard: Kwarrel mentored Kevin on how to better use his powers. During an escape attempt, he gets killed by Morgg.
- Origins Episode: A portion of the episode details how Kevin went from his original mutated state to his normal self in Alien Force.
- Posthumous Character: Kwarrel was a prisoner, who helped Kevin demutate and taught him how to use his absorbing powers. He got killed by Morgg.
- Revenge: Kevin's primary motivation for coming back to the Null Void prison is to get revenge on Morgg for killing Kwarrel. Quince, Kevin's old friend from the old days, tries to dissuade him from doing it, with some success.
