Ben is unhappy that he has to team up with Charmcaster.
Still stranded on the monster planet Anur Transyl, Ben and Rook reluctantly team up with Charmcaster, who has returned to retrieve the Alpha Rune from Zs'Skayr.

- A Day in the Limelight: Swampfire is the only alien Ben turns into in this episode, because he's going through his race's puberty and comes out stronger for it when it's finished.
- Abhorrent Admirer: While covered in zits, Ben gets stalked by a little Transyllian girl named Viktoria. Once he returns to normal, he’s more receptive… but since he doesn’t conform to Transyllian standards of beauty, she dumps him.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Charmcaster comes off as this way when talking to her bag, which Ben lampshades. It turns out the voices of Addwaitya and Darkstar were inside the bag at the end of the episode.
- Creepy Twins: In a Shout-Out to the The Shining, Ben and co run into a pair of Ecturonite twins, confirmed by
Word of God to be Zs’Skayr’s nieces, who came with the castle. - Distracted by My Own Sexy: Hobble's opinion of his mirror clone, which is half his species, half Transylian.
- Enemy Mine: Charmcaster suggests she and Ben team up because they both need Zs'Skayr out of the way. Once he is, she betrays them immediately.
- Humans Are Ugly: The opinion of humans by the aliens in the Anur system, who flee in terror at the sight of Ben. They're more accepting when his face is deformed by acne.
- Literally Shattered Lives: The mirror clones are made of mirror, so blunt force will shatter them.
- Mirror-Cracking Ugly: Ben's Swampfire-induced acne gets so bad, he cracks a glass surface just by looking at it.
- Mirror Match: One of Zs'Skayr's defenses is a mirror that creates a glass duplicate of whoever tries to get past it. Ben, Rook, Scout, Hobble, and Charmcaster all get to fight their own mirror clones, who shatter when killed.
- Precocious Crush: A little Transylian girl named Victoria develops one towards Ben due to his severe acne. She gets over it when it clears up at the end of the episode.
- Puberty Superpower: Swampfire blooms in this episode, after which his ability to control plants is stronger and no longer requires spraying them with methane.
- The Reveal: Chamcaster isn't Hearing Voices, she just has Addwaitya and Darkstar sealed in her bag.
- Rise of Zitboy: Ben's Swampfire induced acne starts normal, but soon disfigures his face until he can barely see over his pimples.
- Shut Up, Kirk!: When Charmcaster starts posturing with her many titles, Zs'Skayr simply teleports her away before she's done going through them. His minions applaud, and he gives a bow.
- Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Zs'Skayr politely returns the Alpha Rune to Charmcaster, then teleports his entire castle away so he can continue his plans in peace.
- You Do Not Want To Know: Ben drinks a concoction that Gwen instructed Rook on making to cure his acne, which he wasn't supposed to do. Rook tells Ben that he's better off not knowing what went into it.
