When Dr. Psychobos steals a part out of the Omnitrix, causing chaotic side-effects, it's up to Ben, Rook, and a small team of Plumbers get everything back to normal.

Tropes in this episode

  • Admiring the Abomination: Upon seeing Psyphon in his new form, Ben remarks that he’s actually kind of cool now.
  • Batman Gambit: Psyphon knew that if the Plumbers thought there was a possibility of the entirety of Bellewood being sucked into the Null Void, they would close the portal down and, thus, the security system preventing their prison break as well. He was bluffing that he had opened a Null Void portal and Ben & Rook’s team played right into his plan.
  • Big "NO!": Psyphon’s reaction when the Omnitrix is fixed and he loses his Heatblast powers.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Although the Omnitrix is back in working order and the prisoners are back in their cells, Ben isn’t out of the woods yet because Dr. Psychobos still got away with the part he needed to fix the Nemetrix.
  • Graceful Landing, Clumsy Landing: Rook jumps into the power core room and makes a perfect Three Point Ending, while the rest of the little aliens, including Ben as The Worst, come tumbling out after him.
  • Great Escape: When Ben’s Omnitrix goes haywire, it gives all the prisoners his alien powers which they then use to try to escape.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: While Ben at first dismisses the smaller, less badass aliens he turns into as useless, he comes to learn that they actually have a lot of helpful abilities.
  • Never Say "Die": Dr. Psychobos tells Khyber and Malware not to “destroy” each other while he’s gone.
  • Ominous Multiple Screens: Psyphon hijacks the security system and uses it to ominously give his demands to the Plumbers.
  • Power Up Letdown: Ben's new aliens; Walkatrout, Mole-Stache, Pesky Dust, and The Worst, are rejected by him for not being big aliens with cool powers. Unbeknownst to him, the latter three do have useful abilities, especially Pesky Dust.
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: It comes down to Ben, who keeps turning into seemingly useless aliens; Rook, who’s been turned into Upchuck; and a group of small alien Plumbers to take down Psyphon and his team of prisoners.
  • Stealth Pun: When Ben finally gets back control over the Omnitrix, he turns into Kickin Hawk for the first time and fights Liam - creating a literal chicken fight.
  • Superpowers For A Day: The Plumbers and their prisoners get spliced with Ben's aliens, resulting in the prisoners causing trouble with their new abilities and the Plumbers to be slowed down by bodies that don't adhere to their combat prowess. It's all undone at the end of the episode.
  • Tempting Fate: The Running Gag in this episode is Rook constantly saying things that Ben worries are going to jinx them, like “At least things can’t get any worse,” and “Nothing can go wrong now.”
Ben: Dude, you have got to stop saying that.
  • Villain No Longer Idle: Dr. Psychobos decides to leave the rest of his team to fight with each other while he goes off on his own to try to fix the Nemetrix.
  • You Know I'm Black, Right?: Ben dismisses Mole-Stache as lame in front of Jerry, who is a member of Mole-Stache's species. He's not pleased with Ben.
