An old friend meets a fresh face...after taking apart Diamondhead.
"Ben Tennyson, give me Chromastone!"
Tetrax has discovered a way to bring back his planet Petropia to life and requires the team's help. Meanwhile, Vilgax goes after them.
- Call-Back: Tetrax’s Dark and Troubled Past that was revealed back in Secret of the Omnitrix is not only once again brought up, but given closure.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Tetrax has lived years regretting how he unwittingly sold out his planet and lead to the genocide of his race. But between him and Ben's efforts, Petropia is alive once more and his people have been brought back to life.
- Not so Dire: The opening have Gwen and Kevin dramatically driving a weakened Ben... to a smoothie shop to get a smoothie recipe to cure Ben's cold.
- Not So Above It All: Despite having ruthlessly extracted Chromastone from Diamondhead without bothering to explain himself, Tetrax expresses fascination about Ben's cold, noting that he's never had one before in a surprisingly pleasant tone.
- Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale: The trinary star system that Petropia orbits around can be seen from Earth; with the stars' alignment happening in real-time. Which should be impossible since Stars are actually millions of lightyears away from one-another, and the time that the light would take to arrive at Earth would be in the thousands of years.
- Superdickery: Tetrax reappears, grabs Ben by the collar, forcibly transforms him into Diamondhead and then shakes his body apart until Chromastone is freed. It turns out that Chromastone is vital to restoring his planet and people, and he needed to do so quickly, hence the rough approach.
- Wham Episode: Petropia has been restored and the Petrosapiens have been revived from extinction.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: The ending scene shows that Vilgax has caught Ben's cold. As he sneezes into a tissue given to him by Psyphon, Vilgax groans how he can't believe this.
