Recap / Beavis And Butthead S 6 E 07 Huh Huh Humbug

Go To

Beavis dreams of being manager of Burger World.

  • All Just a Dream: The Christmas Carol segments are Beavis's dreams. The Burger World manager told him to picture himself in his position, and Beavis instead imagines himself as Scrooge.
  • Ass Shove: Buzzcut promises to straighten Beavis out, "even if it means sticking a Christmas tree where the sun don't shine".
  • Bad Boss: Beavis doesn't even pay McVicker (and presumably also Butt-Head) a living wage, to the point where the McVicker family can't afford food that their patriarch didn't steal from work.
  • Cheated Angle: As a five-year-old, Beavis faces forward like Butt-Head, but he gradually builds his profile, until he looks to the side permanently starting from age seven.
  • Christmas Episode: In the real world, Beavis and Butt-Head have to work the overnight shift on Christmas, and take turns sleeping on the job.
  • Extra-Long Episode: Is double length. All of the music video segments are replaced with Beavis and Butt-Head answering real-life letters as Santa Butt-Head, with Beavis as his reindeer.
  • Grave Humor: Beavis' future tombstone reads "Here lies Beavis. He never scored."
  • Hairstyle Inertia: Beavis and Butt-Head have the same hairstyles as children that they eventually have as teenagers.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Played With. Buzzcut's message seems to resonate with Beavis, but then Butt-Head wakes him up.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Buzzcut tells Beavis that McVicker's kids died because they didn't have enough food for his kids, which makes him think that McVicker and his wife resorted to eating their kids to survive.
  • Kick the Dog: Beavis already treats Dream McVicker bad, but once he puts Butt-Head in charge for the night, the latter forces the former to clean the grill while the grill is still cooking.
  • Never My Fault: Beavis gets angry when McVicker steals food from Burger World, but as Van Driessen points out, McVicker is only doing this because Beavis himself never pays him enough to get food of his own.
Beavis: He should get fired! You know, for stealing that food.
Van Driessen: Beavis, I think you should know that it's the only food that McVicker's family has to eat. And because you're such a strict boss, his children may not be around to see next Christmas, unless you give him a raise so he can better provide for his family.
Beavis: No way! He's stealing! And that's a crime! And you want me to give him a raise?! I'll fire his ass!
  • Oblivious to His Own Description: When Beavis is shown his tombstone, his first reaction is amusement that there's some dead dude with the same name as him.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: The McVicker children die of starvation because Beavis didn't pay their father enough money to afford food. Beavis falsely believes that McVicker and his wife ate their kids.
  • The Scrooge: Beavis takes this role, and makes McVicker clean the grill and stay and work all night for shits and giggles.
  • This Loser Is You: Buzzcut tells Beavis that he wasted his life because he never left the house and watched porn, while staring at the camera.
  • Yet Another Christmas Carol: Beavis dreams about reenacting this. In this version, he is the stingy manager of Burger World, yet lives a lonely life in his house watching porn. Of course, Beavis sees this as awesome, but the ghosts still try to show him that this is an empty life.
