Go To

Old Beavis and Butt-Head end up getting married.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Marriage: Beavis and Butt-Head think the clerk wants to have a three way with them, but she's old fashioned so she wants to get married first. They think all three of them are getting married, not just the two of them. And despite Butt-Head suggesting they could just pretend it never happened, they never legally divorce by the episode's end, as they view it as too expensive and time consuming.
  • Call-Back: The episode, Most Wanted, had Beavis mention he hears voices, which drive him to commit evil deeds. According to the Apartment Tour video, he still hears them.
  • Everybody Has Standards: Old Beavis is a little apprehensive to enter into the marriage, if only because he thinks Polyamory is illegal. Old Butt-Head is able to persuade him by saying that by the time the authorities bust them, they'll have already had a three way.
  • Hearing Voices: Apparently, Old Beavis hears voices, thinking they're coming from the wall, who keep telling him to "cleanse the city."
  • Jerkass Realization: Played Straight and then Subverted. Their neighbor, who the pair always hit on, thinks she was wrong to misjudge them after they get married, and decides to make it up to them by buying them lunch at Burger World. After a fight at Burger World, Beavis storms out, and Butt-Head tries to score with her instead, so she slaps him in retribution.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: The pair start arguing like this at Burger World, arguing over who should get first dibs on their attractive female neighbor.
  • Mistaken for Gay: As a Running Gag, everybody thinks that Old Beavis and Butt-Head are a gay couple who just got married.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: Old Beavis and Butt-Head tell Janice about the situation that led to their licenses getting suspended. Only, they leave out details, and Janice assumes that they're a gay couple who wants to get married. For their part, they assume Janice wants to have sex with them, but they need to marry her first.
  • Pet the Dog: At the end, Old Butt-Head lets Old Beavis share his seat for the ride home, only getting annoyed with him for a few moments for interfering with his driving.
  • Riding into the Sunset: The duo do this after they get their car back.
  • Shout-Out: The neighbor knocks Old Beavis and Butt-Head down with one slap, much like The Three Stooges. For bonus points, Mike Judge has admitted that the franchise was a major inspiration for his works.
  • Special Guest: Ashley Gardner, who previously worked on King of the Hill as Nancy Hicks-Gribble, voices the county clerk, Janice.
  • Tin-Can Telephone: The duo end up driving through two kids playing this. Because it gets caught to the car, two girls think Old Beavis and Butt-Head just got married.
  • Valley Girl: They spend the entire Apartment Tour video making fun of the woman's accent, with Beavis even Lampshade Hanging how everything she says sounds like a question.
