During several missions with Batman, Hal Jordan/Green Lantern comes to realize just how many random things Batman keeps in his belt.
Tropes:
- Blinded by the Light: Invoked; Bruce throws some marble-sized spheres when he needs some mooks out of the way. The spheres explode, and the bad guys are seen covering their faces in the aftermath.
- Crazy-Prepared: Bruce, at any given time, is always carrying just what he needs to get out of a situation. Said items range from stun bombs, a collapsable katana, fish treats for bears, and shark repellant.
- A Day in the Limelight: This is Hal Jordan's first big role in the series.
- Food as Bribe: Batman distracts a couple of growling bears with fish so he and Hal can get past.
- Mythology Gag: Batman pulls out a can of shark repellent, a failsafe from the Adam West era that became famous.
- Rhetorical Question Blunder: When Batman says he won't have trouble with the sharks, Lantern sarcastically asks if he has a device that will let him talk to fish. Batman says that no, he doesn't have a device that lets him talk to fish...so he's going to use a can of shark repellant instead. Hal has no response.
- Threatening Shark: Hal asks if Bruce wants any help before he dives into the ocean, mentioning Aquaman's warning about bloodthirsty sharks. Batman is confident that his shark repellant will do the trick.
