You Risk Your Life has examples of

  • The Cameo: Emily Duff, Elmyra's mother from the two "Elmyra's Family" episodes of Tiny Toon Adventures, appears in this episode as a contestant, under the pseudonym "Myra Puntridge."
  • Fainting: The Secret Word is "Yes." Saying it results in Wakko hitting you in the head with a mallet. Aristotle, the other contestant, keeps saying it, then faints after getting whacked the third time.
  • Parody: Of Groucho Marx's game show, You Bet Your Life.
  • Stock Footage: The audience is made up of live-action footage of an elegant audience.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Aristotle keeps saying the secret word, even after getting whacked the first time.

I Got Yer Can has examples of

  • Anvil on Head: Near the end, when Candie is begging Slappy to give her the can, Skippy just drops an anvil on Candie.
Slappy: What about the plot, Hemingway!? What's an anvil got to do with this story?
Skippy: Who cares? Anvils are funny!
  • The Cameo: Yakko, Wakko, and Dot appear during the game show sequence. The former two say, "Hello Nurse!" to the game show model, and Dot says, "Boys. Go fig."
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Slappy spends an entire episode tormenting Candie just for making her take her soda can out of Candie's trash bin. Slappy herself seems to acknowledge this but does it anyway just because she finds it funny.
Slappy: If I were a better person, I'd ignore her and go on with my life. But I'm not. [Laughs smugly.]
  • Game Show: Candie appears on one, where she wins a washer-dryer, a wet bar, a Lexus, the Love Boat, Cher's house, and the planet Venus. She opts to trade them all for what's behind Curtain #3. The prize turns out to be... the can.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: Slappy puts her soda can in Candie's trash can and starts down the block, only for Candie to call her back and ask her to take it out.
Candie: That is my trash can. I'm sure you must have a trash can of your own.
Slappy: Let me get this straight. You want me to take my soda can out of your trash can, walk all the way back over to my tree, and throw it in my trash can?
Candie: That's right. Do you have a problem with that?
Slappy: No, but now you do.
  • Paranoia Gambit: After giving Candie back the can a few times, Slappy stops, sitting back and doing nothing. As Slappy had hoped she would, Candie starts becoming suspicious of everyone, even thinking a nun taking collections for the homeless is Slappy trying to give her back the can.
Candie: Prepare to eat it, Slappy.
[She prepares to throw a grenade at the two nuns.]
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: This was based on an actual incident in Sherri Stoner's life where she put her empty Diet Coke can in a neighbor's recycling bin, and the neighbor asked her not to do that.
  • Revenge is Sweet: Lampshaded by Slappy.
Slappy: Skippy, in most cases, revenge is not a good thing.
[The can, which Candie has just thrown, hits Slappy in the head.]
Slappy: In other cases, it's the only thing.
  • Sanity Slippage: Constantly being given Slappy's can sends Candie off the deep end.
  • Shout-Out:
    • To The Shining, when Candie begins typing into her writer, "All work and no cans make Candie a dull chipmunk."
    • At the beginning, when Candie asks Slappy not to put her empty can in her trash bin, Slappy mutters to herself, "Allen Funt is a dead man." In other words, Slappy believes that she is the victim of a prank on Candid Camera, which Funt hosted.
  • You Remind Me of X: Slappy turns to the camera and remarks that Candie "reminds me of a very young Wilma Flintstone."

Jockey For Position has examples of

Closing Tower Gag: "Speeeeeeeew!"—Skippy Squirrel.
