Sick of being in a rut, Francine becomes interested in drag racing. Meanwhile, Jeff joins Steve in playing an online RPG after Hayley once again dumps him.
Tropes used in the episode:
- All for Nothing: Despite Jeff reviving Steve's character, it's all for naught as his friends know his in-game weakness and kill him once again, causing Steve to be frustrated.
- Anachronism Stew: Lampshaded. Hayley wonders why there's a scuba tank in a fantasy RPG.
- Art Shift: The scenes of playing Dragon Scuffle.
- Ass Shove: When Morwin and Zamfir find the amulet to revive Agathor, it turns out to be a suppository. So Morwin has to shove it up Agathor's anus to revive him.
- Damsel in Distress: Francine bets 50,000 dollars during one of Stan's races, and is held hostage after he loses.
- Deep-Immersion Gaming: Scenes within Dragon Scuffle feature stylized fantasy characters avatars loosely based on their main players, primarily in hairstyles. It creates quite a funny dissonance seeing Steve being represented by a big, burly warrior who continues speaking in his scrawny, boyish voice.
- Didn't Think This Through: After Agathor is revived, Steve goes to confront his friends in-game for the humiliation he endured. However, they still know Agathor's weakness, killing him off once again.
- Here We Go Again!: When Agathor returns to his friends shortly after being revived, Barry says Rohtaga again, causing Agathor to die once more and Steve getting pissed off.
- Hero of Another Story: Steve has spent a few years building on his powerful online avatar, Agathor.
- Kick the Dog: Steve suffers this by his friends when his Agathor avatar is killed twice.
- RPG Episode: Steve (and later, Hayley) roleplay in an MMO called Dragon Scuffle, something of a cross between World of Warcraft, Everquest, and Dungeons & Dragons.
- Sdrawkcab Name:
- Saying Agathor's name backwards kills him instantly.
- The amulet to revive him is hidden in castle Roodpart. (Trapdoor backwards.)
- Barry plays a wizard named "Fladnag".
- Shout-Out: Before Morwin defeats the monster holding the amulet, she says "smile you son of a-!" before blowing it up with the scuba tank.
- Stripperific: Hayley's avatar wears a bikini armor top that exposes a lot of her cleavage and a thong.
- Weaksauce Weakness: For whatever reason, an instant kill system is implemented for anyone saying Agathor's name backwards.
- What the Hell, Hero?:
- Stan calls out Francine for betting too much in street racing.
- Jeff calls out Hayley for murdering her brother's MMO hero just to get his attention.
