The episode follows Roger's arrival on Earth in 1947.
Tropes:
- Exiled To Siberia. Or, technically, on a distant alien moon (our Earth's). This may be a contradiction to, or extension of, the "crash test dummy" backstory given in "Weiner Of Our Discontent", as Roger's people didn't seem to care whether he lived or died when they sent him on that mission.
- Freudian Excuse: The reason Roger does his personas with bizarre backstories is because the first group of humans he met were extremely eccentric types.
- Identical Grandson: Avery Bullock Sr. looks exactly like his son Avery Jr.
- Retcon: "Wiener of Our Discontent" established that Roger was crashed into Earth as a crash test dummy, while he was told he was the "decider" of humanity's fate. "Lost in Space" added that Roger had cheated on the emperor and broke his heart. However, this episode shows Roger doing a survey mission on the moon before finding another alien who causes him to crash in New Mexico.
- Sarcastic Confession: The man who finds Roger sarcastically says that he killed and ate hobos, before admitting that it's true.
- Suicide Mission. Whether intentionally or not, Roger's was most certainly this, if not for his savvy and adaptability, his "important" assignment would have ended in either a flaming crash or being killed by hostile natives on a backwater planet.
