When Principal Lewis threatens to cancel the science club, Steve takes matters into his own hands in a monstrous way.

- Aborted Arc: By the end of the episode, we still don’t know if Roger managed to “save Halloween” and stop the residents of Langley Falls from drinking formaldehyde.
- Animate Dead: In order to keep Snot from leaving the science club, Steve reanimates Bartleby, the club turtle. Then, when Principal Lewis threatens to cancel the club, Steve holds him captive in the basement while he reanimates a body made up of parts from Lewis’ dead relatives.
- Black Comedy Pet Death: Bartleby crawls out the science lab’s window and gets horrifically run over in front of Steve, Snot, and Billy.

- Evil Laugh: Principal Lewis lets one loose when he tells Steve that Franken-Lewis will have to have brunch with the superintendent.
- Fire Purifies: Principal Lewis wants to burn Bartleby’s dead body to avoid having a turtle ghost roaming the school. After Steve and Billy bring him back to life, Lewis calls it an abomination and tries to burn it in the school’s incinerator like he had told Steve to do.
