Tired of being considered too perfect to be cool by the popular girls, Susie tries desperately to prove that she can be a bad girl. Meanwhile, Phil learns that he has a talent for cooking.
Tropes:
- Bathroom Stall Graffiti: Susie tries to get in trouble by drawing a rude picture of their teacher on the bathroom wall in lipstick, but everyone thinks Angelica was the one responsible.
- Be Yourself: Susie learns that she shouldn’t let anyone peer pressure her into being something she’s not.
- Can't Get in Trouble for Nuthin': In the beginning of the episode, all of Susie’s attempts to get in trouble fail miserably. Either no one believes that “perfect” Susie Carmichael would ever do such a thing or her “pranks” end up being rather nice, if not outright helpful.
- Continuity Nod: Susie at one point calls back to "Dude, Where's My Horse," another episode where Susie pledged to do something bad and failed epically.Susie: I almost tipped a cow...once...
- Cosmetic Horror: Lil is clearly disturbed when she and Kimi walk into Angelica’s room to see her with a green face mask on, her hair in a towel, and painting her toenails.Angelica: Hey, beauty isn’t pretty!
- Foodfight!: Susie tries to start a food fight to prove she’s not perfect, but she physically can’t bring herself to do it.
- Insufferable Genius: Phil - of the culinary kind.
- Jerkass Ball: Phil grabs the Jerkass Ball in this episode by rudely criticizing his friends and giving long, pretentious lectures every chance he gets.
- Loud Gulp: Chuckie makes one when Tommy reminds him that they might have to stop being friends with Phil if he makes it big as a genius chef.
- The Permanent Record: Angelica takes the blame for Susie so she doesn't damage her permanent record.Mr. Carmichael: Do you realize what this will do to your permanent record?
- The Pig-Pen: Phil’s poor personal hygiene is what ends up crushing any chance he had at being a Supreme Chef.
- Supreme Chef: When put into a cooking elective after failing to sign up for any, Phil discovers that he’s an amazing chef without even having to try
- Taking the Heat: After Angelica & Susie get busted by their parents for sneaking out and putting themselves in danger, Angelica takes the fall - her reasoning being that everyone expects her to do things like this and that Susie shouldn’t throw away her future over one dumb mistake.
- Toxic Friend Influence: Susie and Angelica both let Brianna and Savannah peer pressure them into rebelling in order to be considered “cool.”
- Unscrewed Salt Shaker: Once Susie “goes bad,” she pulls this classic prank on Angelica.
- "Walk on the Wild Side" Episode: Susie is sick of being labeled as a “goody goody,” so she rebels by dressing like a punk, talking back to her parents, pulling pranks at school, and accepting a dangerous dare from Brianna.
