Go To

Continues from Een Geschenk Van De Konig (A Gift From The King)

Alfred travels back to Atrique with Kwah and Blanche, but Wannes follows them with the intention of exposing Kwah's resistance movement to the white geese.

Tropes:

  • Almost Kiss: Winnie leans towards Alfred but he leans backwards, so Winnie grabs his wings instead.
  • Bowdlerise: Inverted. The finnsh dub is much more daring than the english one.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • The finnish dub calls Cape Town "Kip-kaupunki" ("Kip Town").
    • Wannes has no surname but the way Stoppel calls him "Mr. Goose" suggests that it's supposed to be taken as a Species Surname.
  • Minor Living A Lone: Kwa and Blanche having to leave their children in a foreign country without being able to do anything more for them in order to protect them from a bigger danger. And they couldn't keep their children safe even when they were all together in Atrique, which is why they brought them to Waterland in the first place.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Captain Stoppel.
  • Reprise: The previous episode's song is recycled for the harbor scene.
  • Recurring Extra: This specific waiter, always in exact same clothes, has appeared in numerous episodes in completely different places, starting from episode 12.
  • Take That!: Stoppel gives Wannes a new table right next to the bathroom door.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Wannes is extremely racist through the episode and even calls Kwa the N-word.
  • If You Taunt Him, You Will Be Just Like Him: When Alfred is about to fight Wannes Kwa interferes, claiming this.
  • Unspoken Plan Guarantee: Alfred's plan isn't explained, and only the execution is shown, and the plan is a success.
  • No Name Given: Blanche's name is still not revealed in the finnish dub. Even Kwa calls her "mom", in the lifeboat scene.
  • Spy Speak: The boy who comes to get Alfred from the park verifies his identity with the phrase "It rains in the south", to which Alfred responds with "And rain in the north".
