Alfred and Henk discover that Professor Hannibal has invented an advanced fishing boat for Rokodil. This is not only a problem for fishermen who are in danger of becoming unemployed, but the herring are now threatened to by extinction.

Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:- What the heck does the grass do near the beginning, when Alfred "rides" it and it acts like waves?
- Also the bee he tells Henk he talked to, who wan't shown onscreen but to whom Alfred apparently just finished narrating his life story to (we hear the ending, but the bee remains "behind the camera" and then just goes away).
- Call-Back: Henk finds an old photo taken in the Sea Scouts, who Alfred joined in episodes 9 and 10. It also finally reveals that Waterlan won the sailing race, which was left unclear because episode 10 ened long before anybody reached the finish line.
- Dub Name Change:
- The fishing town is called Pauhula in the finnish dub.
- Lisa Stoppel's name is Liisa Tunkki in the finnish dub.
- Happily Married: Stoppel and Lisa.
- Furry Female Mane: Lisa has hair that's in an old-timey bun, while male seals and walruses, including Stoppel himself, don't have hair.

- Harsher in Hindsight: Remember how the restaurant in episode 12 was serving fish, and Dolf, Hannes, and Wannes each ate one? This episode reveals that the fishes are all equally sapient and emotionally complex as the more anthropomorphized animals in the setting.

Cut Song: The finnish dub cuts Herman van Veen's song in Parmezanidas' introduction scene, but Parmenazidas stil says the line "Two plus one minus one is two", which is from said song. - Stuff Blowing Up: The prototype boat.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall:
- When Alfred asks Parmezanidas what do sawfishes look like and Parmezanidas is surprised that he doesn't know, Alfed says that he can't be the only one who doesn't, glancing at the viewer.
- Immediately after, there's an image of a sawfish on the screen and Alfred and Henk comment on it as if they were able to see it.
