"Hello, dear viewer. You know, I've been thinking, I've been reviewing reviewers for... way too long now. In Youtube years, reviews have been around the dawn of time and I've been around since like the Renaissance or so give or take... so... what drives people to continually try to replicate the success of shows like AVGN and... and... well, I'm sure someone else tasted success with video game reviews, haven't they? You know, that's kinda really the snag with this "art form" if you really want to call it that. It's that, you can't really be successful with it! Only the first few guys who make it, and those with either connections (shows Angry Joe) or who have true originality (shows 404 error page) will ever get far doing it! Yet people have this crazy notion that the way they say "[Blank], what can be said about [blank]?" is somehow going to set the world on fire, and so... onward to our doom we go. If only it was 2006 again... I could experience the boom of Youtube video game reviewing, AVGN's shtick would still be fresh and hilarious, the "genre" would be relatively unexplored. Nothing but blue skies ahead and the hopes that videos would only get funnier, more nostalgic and more informative. Unfortunately, today it's 2014. Video game review shows are beyond passé! Like Pablo Francisco still telling the same joke he's told since 2000, every game you could think of has been reviewed by someone online. We even have a general consensus about what the worst video game of all time seems to be! Insert Superman 64 joke here somewhere. Why am I bringing up this obvious observation? Because, we've reached the point where it's clear beyond the shadow of a doubt that we've just plain stopped trying. We ran out of gimmicks. Angry Nerd, Happy Nerd, Peanut Butter-Flavored Nerd... Yeah, I have no idea what that means either. The point is, we need no more review shows! But they keep making more like we never heard every reviewing catchphrase and cliché by now. *sigh*"
