Umberto Calvini: What Skarssen is attempting to do is to make the IBBC the exclusive broker of Chinese small arms to the Third World, and the missile deal is the gateway transition.
Louis Salinger: Yeah, but billions of dollars invested simply to be a broker? There can't be that much profit in it for them.
Umberto Calvini: No, this is not about making profit from weapons sales. This is about control.
Eleanor Whitman: Control the flow of weapons, control the conflict?
Umberto Calvini: No. No, no, the IBBC is a bank. Their objective isn't to control the conflict, it's to control the debt that the conflict produces. You see, the real value of a conflict, the true value, is in the debt that it creates. You control the debt... you control everything. You find this upsetting, yes? But this is the very essence of the banking industry: to make us all — whether we be nations or individuals — slaves to debt.

Pentex is a corporate octopus. Its tentacles spread in all directions and wrap around nearly every conceivable market share, while the bloated body remains hidden in a cloud of black ink and paperwork.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Book Of The Wyrm (1st Ed.)

Pentex pursues a well-concealed but unrelenting plan of subjugating humanity — not through direct conquest, but by more insidious methods. The Board wants to desensitize humanity, reducing compassion and hope. They want to immunize people to urban sprawl and swelling populations, the better to reduce hope. They want the public caught up in materialism, apathy and short-sightedness — all the better to suit their ultimate purposes of domination.

To secure the Templars' control over the world, a great majority of Abstergo resources are devoted to locating and acquiring Pieces of Eden. Most of you know the company from its painkillers, or fitness trackers, or, more recently, its virtual entertainment features. Perhaps a handsome man served you a tasty coffee there sometime. But what you may not realize is that they also like to build things like satellite arrays designed to control your mind. The vast majority of Abstergo's employees are not, in fact, Templars, but rather honest folk just trying to make a living. Individually, any one facet of Abstergo's business looks rather harmless, but taken together, Abstergo is the noose around the neck of the free world.

Charlie: You wanna talk about stress? You wanna talk about STRESS?! Okay?! I've stumbled onto a major company conspiracy, Mac, how about that for stress?
Mac: The hell are you talking about?
Charlie: This company is being bled like a stuck pig, Mac, and I got a paper trail to prove it. Check this out. [reveals a wall full of envelopes connected by string] Take a look at this!
Mac: Jesus Christ, Charlie...
Charlie: That right there is the mail. Now, let's talk about the mail. Can we talk about the mail please, Mac? I've been dying to talk about the mail with you all day, okay? "Pepe Silvia"; this name keeps coming up over and over again. Every day Pepe's mail's getting sent back to me. Pepe Silvia, Pepe Silvia. I look in the mail - well, this whole BOX is Pepe Silvia! So I say to myself, "I gotta find this guy. I gotta go up to his office. I gotta put his mail in the guy's goddamned hands; otherwise he's never gonna get it, he's gonna keep coming back down here." So I go up to Pepe's office, and what do I find out, Mac? What do I find out?! There is no Pepe Silvia. The man does not exist, okay? So I decide, "Awww, shit, buddy, I gotta dig a little deeper. There's no Pepe Silvia? You've gotta be kidding me! I've got BOXES full of Pepe! Alright, so I start marching my way down to Carol in HR and I knock on her door and I say "CAAAROL! CAAAROL! I've gotta talk to you about Pepe!" And when I open the door, what do I find?! There's not a single goddamned desk in that office! There is. No. Carol in HR. Mac... half the employees in this building have been made up. This office is a goddamned ghost town.
Mac: ...Okay, Charlie, I'm gonna have to stop you right there. Not only do all of these people exist, but they have been asking for their mail on a daily basis! It's all they're talking about up there!
