Basic Trope: The antagonists can supply/fund their massive evil armies and plans with little to no problem.

  • Straight: Lord Evildeeds can supply hundreds of thousands of his army of evil without any real concern.
  • Exaggerated:
  • Downplayed: There are areas in Lord Evildeeds' empire that are for agricultural use, just that they don't show his mining source.
  • Justified:
    • Lord Evildeeds has a hyper-competent lackey who handles all the logistics for him.
    • Most of Lord Evildeeds income comes from implied operations that the heroes don't know enough about.
  • Inverted:
    • Lord Evildeeds owns a large, self-sustaining infrastructure, but for some strange reason he can only hire a few soldiers at a time.
    • The heroes have all the resources they need, putting Lord Evildeeds in the position of Villainous Underdog.
    • Lord Evildeeds not only has all of his resources tied up in making more money in an illiquid way, but his credit too meaning he has next to nothing available to spend despite being stupidly rich.
  • Subverted: It’s then revealed that Lord Evildeeds is massively in debt.
  • Double Subverted: He’s somehow able to pay off this debt by the next episode.
  • Parodied: Evildeeds has no idea where his resources come from.
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: No villain supplies/funds massive armies and/or plans without an explanation as to where they got the money.
  • Enforced: The writers don’t want to waste time by focusing on how the villain funded their army.
  • Lampshaded: "A thousand-person army? How did you even pay for this?"
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: "How does Lord Evildeeds pay for his army? Is he secretly rich?"
  • Conversed: "You ever wonder how those fictional villains pay for their massive armies?"
  • Deconstructed:
    • Having all the infinite resources makes Lord Evildeeds highly dependent on them, nor develop any contingency plans or caring about the actual quality of the resources. This gives the heroes a standing chance by taking advantage of it.
    • Evulz's resources are clearly coming from somewhere. Alice tracks down a Government Conspiracy to fund Evulz. The perpetrators are arrested and his funding dries up and even his most loyal mooks soon desert over sheer inability to feed themselves otherwise.
  • Reconstructed: ???
  • Played For Laughs: ???
  • Played For Drama: ???
  • Implied: ???
