Basic Trope: The superpower of being made out of a hero’s one weakness.

  • Straight: One of Amazing Girl's many foes is the Fluromite Golem, an animated mass of Fluromite. Fluromite happens to be her one weakness.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Amazing Girl has several foes that all run on this theme.
    • Nemesis has the ability to become the one weakness of any superhero he meets.
    • The Superhuman Annihilator's power is the capacity to unleash an aura that weakens and hurts all non-Badass Normal superheroes in his vicinity, regardless of what kind of origin their powers has - aliens get the typical reaction, technology of a level above gunpowder gets disrupted, super serums get a rather nasty case of spontaneous rejection, Enlightenment Superpowers are yanked back down to Earth, The Magic Goes Away, and so on.
  • Downplayed: The Fluromite “golem” is in fact just a guy who carries a large chunk of Fluromite around.
  • Justified:
  • Inverted: Amazing Girl keeps Firebrand around because she can absorb fire to make herself more powerful. Effectively, Firebrand is a walking power-up for Amazing Girl.
  • Subverted: It turns out the Fluromite Golem is actually shale made to look like Fluromite, and doesn’t have any effect what so ever except for being intimidating.
  • Double Subverted: Under the shale is the ACTUAL Fluromite.
  • Parodied:
  • Zig Zagged: It turns out Amazing Girl’s weakness was only psychoactive, but it also turns out the Fluromite Golem was made to exploit a DIFFERENT superhero’s weakness. The other superhero, Bombastic Man, turns out to have a Fake Weakness to Fluromite, but is still weak to magic, allowing the Golem to kill him.
  • Averted: No-one makes creatures out of other people’s one weakness like this.
  • Enforced: “I’m having trouble threatening Amazing Girl… if only I had some reason to work in her one weakness week after week…”
  • Lampshaded:
    • “OH COME ON! Where did you even FIND that much Fluromite?”
    • “I am built to destroy you, and I am very well equipped to do so.”
  • Invoked: A wizard makes the Fluromite Golem to finally kill Amazing Girl once and for all.
  • Exploited: Amazing Girl throws her Evil Twin at the Fluromite Golem to kill two birds with one stone.
  • Defied:
  • Discussed: “You can tell a super-villain made this, can't you? Nothing says “I hate you” like a robot made from your one fear.”
  • Conversed: “Well, let’s face it, if I had to make a machine to fight Amazing girl, I’d pretty much do that as well.”
  • Deconstructed:
    • The Fluromite Golem doesn’t really have any other abilities aside from being a walking Kryptonite Factor, and so is easily defeated by a Kryptonite-Proof Suit or another group of superheros without the weakness.
    • Fluromite is an element too unstable and dangerous... and not even somebody literally made of it is safe. The Fluromite Golem requires a variety of additional gadgets to keep from exploding like Three Mile Island and/or fatally poisoning any piece of it that isn't Fluromite
  • Reconstructed:
