Pantheon / GUAE Abyssal Corruptors

Go To

A most reviled subdivision of the GUAE, it represents a tragic fact of life: No paragon, hero, or shining example of goodness is immune to the temptations and corruption of evil without exceptional effort or ability. Where many seek to create new villains or to destroy good where they stand, this group's denizens choose to strike good from within by turning the hearts of good toward a future of evil, for the purpose of making terrifying villains out of what's already there. Knowing full well the message it sends to good itself to see such wondrous examples of good to fall so low, this portion of the GUAE is filled with not only villains who seek to twist heroic and virtuous beings for more malevolent ends, but is occupied by such fallen heroes themselves, who may seek to drag down more good guys with them into the abyssal world of evil they've made home in.

Archaon, The Godly Product of Violation

  • Symbol: The Eight Pointed Star of Chaos or the Eye of Sheerian
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Odio, Lord of Dark, God of Evil by Expectation (Odo, Ou Di Wan Lee, Ode Iou, O. Dio, Odie O'Bright, Odeo, Decimus, OD-10, MUR-TH-UR Matrix, Oersted, Brow/Eye/Maw/Purity/Sin of Odio)

  • Greater God

  • Symbol: Statues of a Tyrannosaurus rex, an Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy, a tyrannical warlord, a thug with a Gatling Gun, a bald fighter, a bird-like 'buddha statue', a Nightmare Face, with a black, cloaky figure at the center.

  • Alignment: All his incarnations are usually Chaotic Evil, though OD-10 is closer to Lawful Evil. Oersted is more of a jaded shade of True Neutral now, and was Lawful Good before his Faceā€“Heel Turn.

  • Reason for Joining: Once an idealistic knight, the humanity of his time so thoroughly destroyed his spirit, faith, and hope that he turned to the side of Darkness, which Melkor thinks makes him the perfect representative of this subdivision. While many heroes are not swayed by impersonal incentives like money, fame, or rare graphics cards, Odio instead makes a different argument: that people don't deserve to be saved. Melkor and the GUAE leaders think that this approach can one day crack even the most kind-hearted and idealistic hero. To this end, the Lord of Dark and his incarnations spread evil and hatred wherever they go.

  • Cooperation Ability: Odio himself is a bit of a recluse, so he leaves the work of cooperation to his avatars. Luckily, their various personalities and backgrounds allow them to reach out to a variety of factions: Odo talks to animals, Ou Di Wan Lee and Odie O'Bright are associated with evil martial artists and the criminal underworld, Ode Iou is connected to Japenese deities, Odeo navigates the circles of the more classical gods, and OD-10 gets along with other evil A.I.s. While Odio's forms aren't necessarily the strongest, their range means that Odio has a surprising amount of knowledge and influence in and outside the sphere of evil.

  • Role: Like many other dark overlords, Odio is a behind-the-scenes schemer, planning to destroy the spark of hope from people through his machinations. His ability to send avatars throughout time and space makes him useful for collecting information, and could potentially turn a hero evil simply by changing the events of their life, although this has not been tried yet. On the other hand, Oersted suddenly popping up to help the Seven Heroes defeat the Sin of Odio indicates that he may ironically turn good again one day, which makes a potential time bomb within the subdivision
