One Scene Wonder / The Sopranos

Go To

  • Bobby Bacala Sr. only appears in "Another Toothpick", but proves to be a giant badass in spite of his worsening lung cancer. It helps that he's played by Burt Young.
  • Valery the Russian and his brief but memorable performance in "Pine Barrens", one of the most acclaimed episodes of the series.
  • Lou Di Maggio and the Atwell Avenue Boys in "The Weight".
    • From the same episode, there's also the Florida hitman Johnny hires to whack Ralph at his hotel. When the hit is called off at the last minute, he demands half his cut from the New York family, then coldly stares down Ralph in the elevator.
  • Dr. Krakower, an aged Jewish psycho-therapist that Carmella sees in "Second Opinion"; he's in exactly one scene. He accurately tears apart her delusions of Tony being "a good man", and offers some of the most memorable lines in the series.
  • Sal Iaccuzzo in "Mr. & Mrs. John Sacrimoni Request". His full name isn't even given until the next episode, but his actor's delivery of his lines and facial expressions when learning that Vito is gay makes the scene all the more memorable.
  • "Made in America":
    • The guy in the big Goretex jacket who says "Oh, shit!" and does a penguin walk when he sees Phil getting his head crushed by his car.
    • And of course, the unnamed patron in Holsten's in the final scene who is credited as "Man in Members Only Jacket" (or MOG to the fans). He may not have any lines, but the fans who do believe that Tony was killed in the final episode have this man to thank.
