Nightmare Fuel / What Dreams May Come

• The brief glimpse inside the closed casket of one of Chris and Annie's dead kids.
• Chris comes upon a multi-car accident scene in a tunnel. Going to help a woman trapped hanging upside down in her car, Chris turns and sees another car flying through the air toward him right before the screen cuts to black. That, and the overhead views of him lying bloody on the road and later in a hospital bed is also extremely unsettling.
• The Sea of Faces, with Chris tapping on his dad's (played by Werner Herzog).
• Annie's Self-Inflicted Hell, an inescapable literal nightmare.
