Nightmare Fuel / The White Wolf of Westeros

Go To

With the horrors of Westeros and the Northern Kingdoms coming together, there's going to be nightmare fuel.

  • Geralt decides that Gregor has gone about hurting others enough. And as such treats him like a monster in harming his leg, his elbow, his hand, and giving concussions along the way.
  • The introduction to the Grims. The Alchemist throws a bomb to cover his tracks, with Geralt barely managing to survive with magic.
  • Robert is killed here by a fast acting poison. And worse, Geralt reacts to it first, so Robert spends his last moments knowing that he's dead, dying in fear and pain.
  • The return of the Crones. Geralt's most feared foe escaped to Westeros alongside him, and on the day of the red comet, the sisters are resurrected. A new terror and horror brought to the Riverlands.
  • On that note, their abominations are horrifying for ordinary knights of the realm.
  • Ciri's first encounter with The Night's King ends up going horribly, being attacked and nearly choked out. And after she jumps away into the magic stream, she gets stuck for months before the source is strong enough to let her escape.
    • On that note, on arrival, the king's hand leaves a mark of frostbite on her, showing that the king of ice is truly dangerous.
  • The vision of the fallen future for the Iron Throne is..not fun. And features perhaps some dangerous foreshadowing for all the players in the game of thrones. Ciri might not recognize them, but we do.
    • Jorah is cut in many places...possibly a foreshadowing for what's to come in Mereen.
    • Tyrion is dressed in a fool's outfit and had the pin of the hand of the king Shoved through his eye!
    • Tywin has a dagger buried in his heart.
    • Cersei was either lynched or drawn by the nobility.
    • Jamie is...missing. Only his lion symbol with the scar Geralt gave him on his armor showing who he could've been.
    • Bran was overtaken by the wirewood magic, hinting that perhaps Bloodraven won't be as good as in other times.
    • Rickon seems to have died of starvation alone.
    • Sansa was shot with arrows.
    • Arya seems to have gotten stuck in Nymeria, dying fighting.
    • Jon is killed by Dany, still moaning "I don't...want it..." but gets slain for "being in the way".
    • Aerys has his stab by Jamie on him.
    • Robert shows how he died by poisoning.
    • Robb is stabbed 3 times, and missing an arm!
    • Renly seems to have been blown up!
    • Stannis seems to have drowned!
    • And finally, Joffery has cuts on his arm, which Ciri thinks means SUICIDE! Something Joffery never had any signs for in canon, hinting that great and terrible things are coming for Joffery Illborn.
  • Turns out, the Crones are now influencing the Freys...through using his sons as life force. Which can only bode ill for the oncoming forces.
  • Euron has a special treat for Balon in their duel of honor. Instead of just stabbing him and being done with it, he drowns him like an ironborn would offer the drowned god.
  • The Crones turned Edmure Tully into a flesh golem. A shambling, terrifying thing with thick arms and a body made of other bodies.
  • Zarim, under the direction of Tywin, unleashes cannons for the first time in battle. And like in real life, their introduction to a world of knights is nothing short of horrific for the receiving Tyrell forces.
    • Mace Tyrell is an unfortunate victim of the first volley. And we get the charming description that he basically had a lung ripped away from his body in the impact, leaving him to die in mere seconds.
  • Gregor almost pulls an Oberyn on Brienne, crushing her eye, and trying to crush her skull if Loras hadn't saved her.
  • The Mountain give Renly the blessing of a quick death, but not a clean death, as he's basically cleaved in half through several swings of his greatsword.
  • The next monster introduced to Westeros are Foglets: semi-intelligent creatures with grasping claws which can create fog to create natural ambushes. While not as relentless as Ghouls, they're far more clever and able to switch tactics.
  • Kevan Lannister tells a chilling tale of marching by the Crone's stronghold of High Heart, and getting massacred in retaliation. By the time Geralt manages to relieve them, they've lost 80% of their army, and the Crones have 8000 new bodies to work with.
