Nightmare Fuel / The Amazing Spider-Luz in: Across the Owl-Verse!

  • There's some implication that the Jackal releasing the blood that gave Luz her powers into circulation might have been part of a larger plan.
  • If you use levitation magic something, including people, on the Knee, it shoots up into the sky.
  • The tunnels under the Knee. Luz and Amity fall into one, and the hole disappears as soon as no one is looking at it, and Eda makes it clear that not every witch that enters leaves, with time itself being distorted. There even seems to be some intelligence to it, as there's a cross-wind every time Luz tries to use her webs to escape.
  • In the tunnels Luz and Amity find not just a human church, but what is apparently a Hydra base, filled with the remains of researchers.
  • When Luz joins the Banshees, for some reason the traps on the Grudgeby field aren't deactivated like they're supposed to be for her trial, so Luz just barely grabs Boscha in time to keep her from getting scorched by a fire hazard.
    • The next chapter clarifies that Bump and the Coach later checked the hazard out... and couldn't figure out why it did that.
  • A dangerous dragon called Ingrimaxus is returning to the Isles after having been fended off by a group of wild witches that gave their lives to do so, and not even Belos is confident that he can win against it.
    • When we actually see it later, it does not disappoint, killing numerous witches among the defenders, many incinerated completely, while taking little to no damage. If the aforementioned wild witches hadn't wounded it when they forced it away the first time, they would have had no way to stop it.
  • Grom is a lot more dangerous in this universe. Besides having actual intelligence, it's implied (and later confirmed) that it and/or others of its kind were soldiers of the Archivists in the war against the Titans, and it can inflict curses on those who face it. Once poor soul is driven into a coma, and Boscha's mother Bruna never feels warm.
    • Amity defeats Grom by draining and absorbing its power, which Strange warns her might have unforeseen consequences if it manages to influence her.
      • Chapter 21 shows this isn't an idle warning, as we briefly see Grom's influence in Amity while testing her astral form in Willow's mind and speaking about how good it felt to render Odalia powerless, scaring Willow before Amity comes back to normal.
  • Rinseri/The Owl Beast was Archived and Forced to Watch as her people were slaughtered by the Archivists for the crime of having claws that could harm them. Even worse, besides the sigils being explicitly Archivist magic, the elixirs are apparently meant to suppress Rinseri's consciousness more than deal with the curse, and are actually poisoning Eda as a side effect.
