- For Halloween, NickRewind (then known as The Splat) ran a number of fake horror trailers for their shows. These include such childhood killing gems as...
- "A Freak Named Finster": A Carrie-esque little piece of terror based around Rugrats. In it, Chuckie seems to have some form of Psychic Powers, with Tommy being his Not-So-Imaginary Friend. Angelica teasing him about it causes him to snap and murder her, before laughing insanely at her funeral. At the end, it appears that the whole thing was just a dream...but then Tommy comes back and is implied to end up killing Chuckie's dad.
- "Fatal Overreaction": Obviously inspired by Fatal Attraction, this Hey Arnold! one sort of deconstructs Helga's obsession with Arnold—here, she's driven murderously insane by it, implicitly killing Lila in the end and marrying a terrified Arnold in her place. The worst of it is that Helga is shown to be aware of how her obsession is driving her crazy and is genuinely terrified at what she's becoming.
- One that didn't air at the original Nick or Treat line up but was instead added later during a New Years special: "Hamburger Boy: The Costumed Cannibal of Bluffington". Ever wanted to see Doug as a cannibalistic Serial Killer? Don't say we didn't warn you...
- This ad depicting three people in costumes of Angelica, Tommy, and Chuckie running slowly toward the camera.
- In the "Are You an Easter Bunny?" interstitial, there's a bit where Face just stares at a lamp from Rocko's Modern Life while a creepy ambient noise gradually rises up.
- The April Fools' special for 2017 involved a sudden Jump Scare (consisting of a scene from another show or movie with dramatic Scare Chord music added and the volume heightened to an alarming degree) being added to whatever episode of anything you happen to be watching, before being followed by a message asking if you noticed. Imagine just sitting there watching an episode of Rugrats or Doug and then suddenly..."AAAAAAAAA-"
