"De Sprietatoom" has a scene where Suske and Wiske enter an abandoned mill during a stormy night. They see a dwarf sized man running around, who is then grabbed by a mysterious hand. While the man is snatched away he screams in fright: "Savantas!" As it turns out Savantas is the name of a Mad Scientist who shrunk several people to a tiny size.
The original art work of "De Sprietatoom" was way creepier. Savantas wore dark glasses which hid his eyes, thus giving him a Nightmare Face.
"De Koning Drinkt": The tree coming alive in the middle of the night, then grabbing Wiske.
"De Zwarte Madam":
The gigantic black cat.
