Super RWBY Galaxy 2: Galactic Conquest Prime has a lot of dark and creepy moments, with there being enough to rival SPBRR Fusion with how dark things tend to get. So here is a list of some of the dark moments in the story:
- Dark Samus manages to infect VIRIDI with Phazon.
- Aqua's encounter with Anti-Aqua who proceeds to verbally call out on her belief in darkness the flaws of her Master Eraqus's teaching. It's terrifying for Aqua to deal with that again and the fact her evil self was right.
- Starting from Chapter 7, Dark Samus reveals to the heroes that every Galaxy from the First Galaxy Story and the ones they traveled to so far have been fully corrupted by Phazon. This adds deep horror as Rosie's children who have become galaxies are tainted and the fact any galaxies they go to going forward has the risk of already being corrupted, raising the stakes of the war even further.
- Nergigante's appearance in Wild Glide Galaxy after being hinted back in Sky Station Galaxy. It makes its entrance like a true monster and proceeds to brutally attack everyone who has visited the Galaxy even Seryu, proving to be a very difficult opponent. If Zinogre Ruby wasn't unlocked they would have been killed.
- Serris's return and battle in Cosmic Cove Galaxy is double the fear factor compare to the BSL Station. Not only can it shoot electricity like a true eel, but it can also move on land really fast. This resulted in a scary and tense battle with Blake's friends protecting her from being eaten again.
- The Madame and Stepsisters appear to Cinder as visions after she got inflicted by Phazon. Cinder is terrified given the trauma they inflicted on her in the past plus thee Phazon leaves her in forced agonizing pain.
- Blake has Identity Breakdown during chapter 10 where she panics about if she is real or just an X-Parasite Copy. This terrifies her greatly given the trauma the X has inflicted on her.
- When Zinnia flashes back to how she befriended Rayquaza, there's a recreation of the scene in the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire from Pokémon Adventures wherein she appeals to Rayquaza to team up with her, only for Rayquaza to impale her in the stomach with its tail and blast her point-blank with Hyper Beam! What's worse is that Zinnia reveals that she got a nasty scar from this and brushes it off as a flesh wound to Nora.
- The ambush involving Dimentio and Phazon-enhanced Apathy, Redead/Gibdos, and Dead Hand. Ibuki, Kokoro, Luigi, Yoshi, Gloria, Lysithea, Grif, and Youmou trying in vain to take the monsters down as they are slowly being drained of their will and power. And then despite being rescued by Neo, Dimentio traps Kokoro by messing with a Cosmic Clone Comet and changing it into a Daredevil Comet, and reviving the dead foes. This resulted in Kokoro being emotionally traumatized by the experience despite being rescued twice.
- Rosie brutally crushing Cave in a fit of rage and desire to hurt was enough to unnerve her allies, even GLaDOS was disturbed. Even scarier as Polari pointed out Rosie is getting close to Supernova at 90%. Even more terrifying is Dark Samus's plan to provoke Rosie which will likely have horrible consequences when it happens.
- Dark Samus giving the order to corrupt all the gang's planets with Phazon. What makes this even more terrifying is that Dark Samus and the Space Pirates had enough time to make plenty of Phazon bombs to hit multiple known worlds across the SRS Universe. Plus, the fact it's unknown where these bombs are being created and how easy access the villains have.
- After Kraid is defeated, he is suddenly chained up and taken away by a mysterious individual. And while the characters don’t know who he is at the moment, players of Metroid Dread will VERY quickly recognize him as RAVEN BEAK.
- CFVY and Samus fight against the Phazon-enhanced Doom Slayer is the stuff of nightmares. Not only does Doomguy beat them with ease without a scratch, not even Samus with all of her power could defeat him. If not for Ibuki, they would have been brutally murdered by him.
- Dark Samus planning on killing the evacuated people on the 4/5 ships that escaped from the Phazon-effected planet, ensuring no survives or escapes. Plus whenever she plans for the Radiant Garden, it will likely be very horrifying.
- Dimentio, due to his failure with bringing back Chaos Ruby, decides to switch targets, with the implication he's going after Mario this time.
- The Phaze Chimera's existence is easily one of the biggest Nightmare Fuel moments. An uncontrollable abomination created from Phazon that kills anything in its way. The build-up to this thing's appearance in Boo Moon Galaxy is pure horror. When it does show up, it chases after Umber and Veron in a dangerous of cat and mouse game. Plus adding on to the fear factor, Umber couldn't access his other Pokémon or called for help. Now even his Rotom Dex could help out as the beast kept countering every move the trio made to stop. Ultimately, it took Umber getting corrupted by Phazon to have a chance and put an end to the terror before it could escape and kill him. Dark Samus showing no regret about this and the fact she was willing to create it again should she wants, meaning another abomination could possibly appear.
- Witnessing Supernova Rosalina's full strength and appearance was truly terrifying. After fully snapping from witnessing a Red Luma's death, Supernova Rosie shows how dangerous is to anger Rosie. Being to not only creates small black holes supernovas, Neutron Star, and finally a comic bomb that had enough power to destroy anything within a five lightyear radiance. This serves as reminder to anyone foolish enough to piss off Rosalina would suffer. When Rosie returns to normal, she was terrified fearing she may have lost everything again.
- The Phazon Dustflier Heartless fight was very brutal. As not only its it a super boss, the Phazon made it a deadly foe for the heroes. Then Calasmos made his presence known and corrupts it even further into Nuclear Waste Dustflier. This Heartless proves to be double the nightmare fuel and terror. It almost killed the heroes if not for Chiaki and Caboose's help to put an end to this dangerous foe.
- Calasmos getting involved during the war, giving another major villain who will cause havoc to the heroes despite "technically" having the shared goal of defeating Dark Samus and Ridley.
- The Grimm Prime ambushes the heroes during the hostage rescue. While the fight happens offscreen, it is clear this monstrosity was too much for the heroes to handle not even Ruby's Sliver Eyes could take care instead only stunning it. Plus the fact it survives the ship exploding, meaning the heroes will have to deal with it in the future.
