Nightmare Fuel / SPBRR Fusion

SPBRR Fusion has the most nightmare fuel included yet in the Super RWBY Series. Fittingly given its horror theme and game it was based on. Here is the full list of known nightmare fuel moments;

• Right out of the bat, in the very first chapter, Samus nearly gets herself killed by getting infected with the X-Parasite, as it has been discovered to mutate inside of their victim.
• There are mutated zombies lurking about the BSL station, which is already creepy enough... but as revealed in a Mystery Scientist's video log... they're actually BSL scientists who mutated into zombies after taking the Metroid vaccine.
• The mere mention the X-Parasite mimicking Samus's powers leaves everyone unsure if they can survive such an encounter. Even Rosalina is unsure if she can take it out if the SA-X is at full power.
• The SA-X is shown to be far more intelligent here than where it came from. While it's kind of awesome, it's also horrifying when you realize it nearly disintegrated everyone with a fully charged Wave Beam... and then everyone realizes that the whole galaxy is screwed if it gets out of the station.
• Rosalina goes on to mention that she's not one for explosives and goes on to mention that making a Cosmic Bomb has the potential to wipe out everything from a five lightyear radius, practically making it a miniature supernova.
• The Alpha Metroid is seen sucking the aura out of Blake and once it heads off to heal itself... it's seen to have a desire for Blake's aura. So not only do they have a powerful X-Parasite hunting them down, but they also have an aura snatching Metroid to deal with too!
• The Gamma Metroid's introduction is the stuff of nightmares. First it hides into the darkness and it smartly distracts SPBRR. It then comes down from a web to try to get a hold of Blake, and by the time the faunus realizes what's going on, it spits out a web on her mouth and kidnaps her, quickly disappearing into the darkness before Pikachu could hurt it.
  • To make matters worse, we get to Blake being held prisoner on a spider web where she was put in a hallucinogenic trance while the Metroid eats up most of her aura. Luckily, SPRR manages to get to her in time.
    • Even worse? Blake went from 90% of her aura to 5% of her aura in a matter of minutes. The Gamma Metroid managed to eat up most of her aura in mere minutes. And now it's crawling around with Blake's stolen aura.
• And then there's Serris... hoo boy. First it attempts to snag Blake by her hair and drag her underwater, but Samus holds her in place by grabbing her leg and Rosalina cuts through her hair. But then it gets worse as it floods the entire arena to make everyone sluggish, it proceeds to EAT BLAKE ALIVE.
  • Not only that, but she also drowns inside of Serris. Luckily, Samus was able to revive her but holy freakin' crap!
• Returning to the Gamma Metroid, it has a one on one showdown with the SA-X. While it is an awesome battle, it ends with the two of them tying as they both retreat to heal up those wounds. Yes. The Gamma Metroid and the SA-X are both equally strong. And they're both in the same station where SPBRR are at.
• Then we get to the mysterious scientist and hoo boy, we are seeing him slip into insanity with each video log.
• Blake has a nasty encounter with the SA-X and despite her best efforts to fight it, it proceeds to wipe the floor with her, shatter her aura with one punch and pin her to a wall to gouge her eyes out!
• As a Zeta Metroid, it follows the group in secret from the shadows, adding more to the tension and the rest of group could not figure out what it was. After stopping the countdown in Sector 3, the Metroid proceeds to ambush Blake Alien movie style, showing how yet again it becoming more terrifying and creative.
• Shou Tucker revealing himself to the group as the one who made the [Metroid vaccine and his lack of morality and desire to continue it, show how unhinged he truly is. Even the A.I. Adam is disgusted by him. Plus Samus and Blake almost give in to their rage and would have killed him if not for Ridley's intervention.
• The ninth chapter is the stuff of nightmares. Not only did they have a nasty encounter with the SA-X, but Nettori was working with it. It would use vines to block their path and also protecting the SA-X. On top of that, it uses a Wave Beam attack that pierced through Rosalina's force field that seriously injured her. Then as they were fleeing after the Zeta Metroid makes a surprise appearance, the SA-X ambushes them with a Power Bomb. You'd think Rosalina would protect them, but she gets hit with another Wave Beam to prevent her from making a force field... and then the Power Bomb blows up. When they come to, the SA-X picks up a downed Rosalina by the throat and uses her as a meat shield. Everyone is then dragged away by the vines while Rosalina is punched in the face by the SA-X to knock her out.
  • And THEN we get to Nettori's lair where we see the SA-X and Nettori communicating before they are dragged down into the Samus Eaters where Rosalina is the first to get eaten alive. If it wasn't for Blake's Void Wisp and saving everyone, it would have spelled the end of SPBRR.
    • It does not help Chapter 9 is titled Out For Blood
• Nightmare rears his ugly head and proceeds to battle everyone, and shows off his ugly mug after Samus destroys his mask, showing off all that slimy crap which was enough to make Blake's stomach turn.
  • And then as they continue fighting, his face starts to melt and his screeches become distorted, enough to make Blake nearly puke.
• While it is indeed awesome, it's also horrifying to see Ridley completely mutilate someone, let alone his own clone. Brutal Space Pirate indeed.
  • And then Ridley's fight itself has one instance where he proceeds to scrape Pikachu against the wall a la Subspace Emissary and almost gets away with killing him until Blake intervenes, which results in getting her face slashed by the space pirate.
• Shou Tucker's death was deserving but it was also horrifying since he pretty much got stabbed, his head eaten off and then his body got split in half. Yikes!
