ZOINKS!!
  • The plot of the entire film is pretty horrifying. There are a bunch of ancient demons running around trying to take over the world by possessing humans (including Mystery Inc.) and being led by a vengeful sociopath.
  • The first scene with the Luna Ghost can be pretty jarring. Not only is the monster pretty freaky, the scene in general is kind of intense. And Daph is all of a sudden the bait to top it all off.
  • Spooky Island in general is pretty... spooky. There's the symbols everywhere that are based off the demons and the whole place just has a sense of dread. It's like a Halloween-based theme park that completely forgot everything was supposed to be fake.
  • After the Creature attack the previous night, the morning after seems like everything is fine... too fine, in fact, as Shaggy notices that all the shattered windows/busted walls have been repaired overnight, somehow. Not to mention, everyone is acting like they have no memory of what happened and are having a party, even Fred and Velma. However, Daphne immediately notices something is wrong when Mark McGrath's eyes briefly turn green and is quick to back away from him as casually as possible. And when Shaggy and Scooby try to ask Fred what happened, he and the rest of the partiers, and Sugar Ray, attack, revealing they're all possessed by the Creatures.
  • The Tribal Chant for the Creature's cult is creepy in its own right.
  • One of the deleted scenes has Daphne encountering Velma after she's been possessed. Whereas the scene of Shaggy encountering a possessed Fred that made it into the final film was largely Played for Laughs, this one turns downright freaky as Velma, upon Daphne mentioning the "creatures" they encountered the previous night, slowly turns to Daphne and makes a pair of unsettling neck cracks while telling her what the demons' screams sounded like... before letting one out herself, far more disturbing than the low growl that Fred gave Shaggy in their corresponding scene. What should have tipped Daphne off something wasn't right? Velma is not wearing her glasses.
  • While escaping with Shaggy and Mary Jane on quad bikes, Scooby ends up realising the latter’s possessed. How so? From her face being bent out of shape while her eyes are glowing after hitting a branch. That of which she then stretches back into normal, all while facing him and capping it off with an “innocent” giggle. It’s quite a surreal scene.
  • After Mary Jane calls the Coast Guard, the one who spoke to her looks into the camera with a sinister expression, mockingly says to his coworker, “Our friends have been kidnapped,” and lets out an Evil Laugh while looking at the camera, then his coworker stops laughing when the first guard’s expression changes to an expression that wordlessly says, “Cut it out.”
