"The querries of lesser species are of neither use or interest."

  • The results of the Necron invasion, full stop. Even if you're not familiar with Warhammer's setting, the sheer devastation and horror shown in the series is more than enough to display how utterly terrifying fighting the Necrons is.
  • The Deathmark sniper. A highly efficient Necron assassin that wields a Synaptic Disintegrator, a rifle that kills it's victims by destroying neural tissue. In addition, it has access to the Dimensional Oubliette, a pocket dimension that allows it to relocate itself at will. The end result is a deadly sniper that can appear out of thin air, take out it's targets, then disappear before anyone can notice what happened.
  • While dying to the Necrons is terrifying on it's own, being captured by them is much, much worse.
    • Right off the bat we get a glimpse of Illuminor Szeras' lab. Several screaming guardsmen are strapped to tables, their skin a sickly, glowing green with Canoptek Scarabs crawling all over their bodies. Szeras looms over one of his victims, watching amusedly as he writhes and squirms from agony, only displaying mild annoyance once one of his test subjects dies.
    • Those who died on his lab were the lucky ones. Those who did survive the experiment end up as lobotomized husks, shambling and twitching around the ruins of the city mindlessly attacking anyone they find, be them friend or foe. Despite their slow gait, they lunge at their victims with an inhuman scream once they get close enough, clawing and hitting like a feral animal. And, if their dialogue is to be believed, they're still fully aware and unable to control themselves.
