Nightmare Fuel / New Teen Titans

• The Terror of Trigon that began The New Teen Titans Baxter Series has some major examples:
  • Issue 1 has a Jericho-possessed Raven experiencing a horrifying trip into Trigon's dimension. At one point, Raven is confronted by her mother Arella, depicted as a decaying living corpse.
  • Issue 4 has the splash-page of Earth under Trigon's control, followed by the Titans facing dark versions of themselves. Changeling has it the worst of them: Dark-Changeling plays on his his Survivor's Guilt by slaughtering all his friends before his eyes, even holding holding the heart of one of his victims out for him to see!
  • Issue 5 continues this by having the tortured Titans pass the Moral Event Horizon.
  • Issue 6. Although Trigon's destruction is Awesome, his degeneration is rather potent.
  • Unlike his incarnation in the animated series, Plasmus is a dangerous serial killer who loves to dissolve innocent people with his bare hands.
  Plasmus: I have dissolved over seventy-five men and women with these hands. At least a dozen children. Each one of them screamed. Screamed as their vocal cords melted between my fingers. It is the only joy I know.
