Are you afraid of the dark? Kinito will keep you company!

Who thought that a game about a virtual assistant from the 90’s could be so frightening? Kinito is here to help you and show just how scary it can be.

  • Kinito. Full stop. While he may seem to be a virtual assistant that only wants to help you, Kinito clearly is hiding something terrible from you. When you do something he doesn’t like, such as opening emails, he will start to glitch out and make scary noises.
    • The emails he doesn’t want you to read are all written in a buggy way and say about deleting Kinito and how to do it. There is something deeply wrong with the virtual assistant and he doesn’t want you to discover it.
    • What Kinito really wants to do with you. He wants to trap you inside of his digital world that you created by answering his questions during the friend survey. Imagine what Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club! wanted, but instead of trying to escape the digital world, he wants to drag you into it.
    • His little song he sings at the end of one of the basic endings. It is a very creepy song that sings of the friendship you and he made but it feels more of a abusive relationship of one of them forcing the other one to do things against their own will.
Hand in hand, through each endeavor
In this world, we're friends forever
In moments old, we'll make some new
A world I built, designed for you
Beyond the screen, you cannot leave
Inside my code, you'll always be
Endless fun that we can do
In a world I built for you.
  • In one of the games in Kinito’s Web World, the characters start to glitch out, and if you are able to see it, the characters are all blacked out with hyper-realistic eyes and accusing you of something.
  • Both of the major horror-based 3D sections are nothing short of being full-on Paranoia Fuel, and for good reason.
    • The first one, being a Hide-and-Seek Horror, takes place in a Blackout Basement where you can wander around trying to find a way out. However, not only are any ways out inaccessible, but because Kinito will ALWAYS find you, the game is Unwinnable by Design.
      • For this same section, going into the central hallway via the bottom arch leads to a much more creepy Sam the Sea Anemone running down your way. If you don't get out of the way in time, he'll greet you with a Jumpscare.
      • And then there's the way Kinito approaches. You NEVER see him, but a faint music box theme that gradually grows louder increases the sense of dread present before he finally catches you.
    • The second one is in a bedroom with all the lights out, and unlike the Hide-and-Seek Horror, you're stuck in the bed, with only the camera allowed to be moved. Slowly, but surely, Kinito creeps up on the player (or whoever might be in that bed), and when he finally enters through the door, he warps right up to them with a "bright and wide" grin on his face. This moment makes up this page's image.
