Go To

  • Right off the bat, the Lupin Collection mirrors the Precious from Gogo Sentai Boukenger, being ancient artifacts with some kind of genuine unexplained ability. And just like the monsters in Boukenger, each of them also corresponds to a Sentai season:
    • Prends-le dessus (the fossil/artifact-like item) resembles the Dino Brace from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.
    • An unnamed dragon head Collection that Dogranio took from Gauche's monster resembles the head of the Ryutsueder from Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger.

  • Both team's suits call back to past sentai. The Lupinrangers, with their colored visors, really look like the Timerangers while the Patrangers have huge black visors, just like GoGoV. To drive the point home, the Patrangers do a salute pose just like the rescue sentai, while the Lupinrangers have a more "freestyle" pose like Timerangers' transformation.
  • Another one to GoGoV: Patren1 screaming about having spirit in episode 3 brings Matoi to mind.
  • The Gangler come from an alternate universe called the Back World and are competing to become the next leader of the group. Replace Back World with Back Dimension and change the premise of the competition, and you have the Vyram.
  • When going for their finishers with Good Striker, the Patrangers reference one of Dekarangers' finishers, when a lone Dekaranger goes for the finishing blow with combined weapons, mainly Dekared's Hybrid Magnum and Dekablue's D-Sniper, similar to how PatrenUgo goes for the One-Hit Strike. On the Lupinranger side, it references one of Gokaigers' finishers where all five of them use their weapons for an all out attack, similar to the Lupinrangers where one of them splits into three and all of them finish the monster off with the Seizing Strike.
  • In the start of episode 11, when the Patrangers are trying to be in the movie, and knock Mooks out of the way, the Mooks sort of look like the Kuros from Ressha Sentai ToQger. They wear a lot of black and have very similar hats.
  • In episode 13, Tsukasa is shown to be scared of amusement park haunted houses, and it's pointed out that this is strange considering that she fights real monsters. Much like a certain red ranger of the past.
  • Episode 15 has Sakuya and Tsukasa team up, with the former going Guns Akimbo and the latter Dual Wielding. The Gokaigers would have been proud.
  • Episode 20 revealed that Lupin X/Patren X has a signature phrase when using his trains : "shuppatsu shinkou", literally meaning "all aboard", the exact same signature phrase as ToQger. Even the scenes where Lupin X/Patren X's trains interlocks with each other, clearly reused lighting and props from ToQger.
  • A gold ranger with a locomotive, haven't we seen that before.note
  • Lymon Gang's appearance from episode 23 onward, mimics the appearance of the Western Yokai Gang in Ninninger.
    • Both gangs first appeared in episode 23.
    • Both gangs consist of three members, one of which is destroyed by the rangers in the gang's first fight against the rangers.
      • In both cases, the first member to be destroyed is the "strong muscle" one, leaving the gang having only the "smarter/more tactical" one and the leader.
    • Both gangs are evil, but have been away for some time from the main villain group.
  • In episode 24, after Kairi is able to use Giwi's pendant's luck powers to counter his evasion, Kairi says "Yossha, lucky!" ("Talk about lucky!"), the catch phrase of Lucky from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.
  • The monster in episode 34, Cerbero, has the nickname of "Hell's guard dog" (Jigoku no Ban-Ken).
  • The summoning announcement for some unreleased Trigger Machines reference some previous Sentai seasons:
  • In episode 45, the Gangler attacks our heroes with illusions of them being chopped and tossed and seasoned like they were being cooked alive, looking like the Goton Mix attacks from Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.
  • The combination used to open Zamigo's rear safe in episode 50? 3-3-5."
