Steven Price (born 22nd of April 1977 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire) is a British film composer. He's perhaps best known for scoring Gravity, for which he won and was nominated for several awards (including an Academy Award and a BAFTA).

His debut as a composer was 2011's Attack the Block alongside Basement Jaxx; prior to this he worked in the music department for several major films over the years, including The Lord of the Rings film trilogy as a music editor under Howard Shore (beginning with The Two Towers), Batman Begins and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. He also provided the musical score for the documentaries The Hunt (2015), Our Planet (2019), Dolphin Reef (2020) and David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet (2020). He has worked with Edgar Wright on several projects.

  • Associated Composer: He's composed the music for a number of films Edgar Wright has worked on, including Attack the Block (where Wright was the executive producer), The World's End, Baby Driver and Last Night in Soho. Price also worked as a music editor for the score of Scott Pilgrim Vs the World, which Wright directed, co-wrote and produced.
  • One-Woman Wail: Many of Ophelia's tracks utilize this to create either an ethereal, mournful or joyful sound (or some combination of the three) depending on the mood of the corresponding scene.
