A story of a university girl with a long horn.

In an Alternate History, Horned Humanoids have existed since the dawn of time, as they have co-existed alongside non-horned humans in all points in history.

Tsunoko Yagisawa, a third-year university student with a flair for indulging into fairy-tale fantasies, has a long horn to her head where it sometimes puts her in rather embarrassing situations such as piercing someone's books with it or even accidentally hitting with it.

She gets smitten to Hanasaka, one of her classmates in the same classroom in her university, but she finds herself unable to confess for unknown reasons, dreading for the fact that her feelings onto him are not genuine. Can she confess her love to Hanasaka?

Tsunokei Joshi wa Kokurenai (ツノ系女子は告れない Horned Girls Can't Confess) is a Slice of Life Seinen manga written and illustrated by Miki Usami. It was published by Takeshobo and serialised by the publisher's magazine Manga Life Win. It was firstly released on 7th of September 2020 and concluded on 7th of May 2021 with two volumes.

Horned Tropes

  • Alternate History: It takes place in our own world, except Horned Humanoids exist on the planet who are co-existing with non-horned humans.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: The main conflict of the story is Tsunoko's inability to confess her feelings towards Hanasaka.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Or "Cute Horned Girl" in this case, as Tsunoko has two horns as well as her being a cute-looking university student. Also overlaps with Cute Clumsy Girl as she tends to be clumsy due to her horns, ranging from hitting others with it to piercing someone's books by accident.
  • Horned Humanoid: While human evolution moved as is, many humans throughout history have developed horns, leading to half of the human population having one of them.
  • Slice of Life: A story about a horned girl who has a hard time showing her feelings to a male university student who is in the same classroom as her.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Tsunoko has a red flower ornament that is next to her right horn, emphasising her femininity and beauty.
