Amagami Sora has two secrets: First, she's the Cocktail Knight Valencia, a magical warrior recruited to defeat Stressmen, and second, she's actually a girl. These are two secrets she thinks she's keeping from her male best friend, Daichi Riku, but his secret is that he's figured out his celebrity crush's secret identity!

Spill It, Cocktail Knights! (Bareteru! Cocktail Knights) is a manga by Toshinori Takayama, which ran in the seinen magazine good! Afternoon from 2020 to 2021. The manga's serialization was cancelled after only 17 chapters, but Takayama still releases chapters on Twitter.

Tropes related to the manga include:

  • Celebrity Crush: Riku is often teased about his love for the local celebrity Valencia, often by Valencia herself.
  • Disguised in Drag: For some reason pertaining to her family's dojo and revenge, Sora lived as a boy even before she protected a fairy and contracted to be a Cocktail Knight.
  • Drink-Based Characterization: Averted. While the magical girls are named after cocktails, Yokihi, Red-Eye, Kahlua Milk, Valencia and others, there is no clear reference to their character. Instead, they simply wear the color of their respective drink.
  • Magical Girl: The obvious. The Cocktail Knights are magical girls who keep the city safe. They are celebrities and are treated as such with handshaking events, parties and interviews.
  • Recursive Crossdressing: In the Valentine's chapter, Sora dresses up as a strange girl so as to give her male friends chocolate so they don't feel lonely. She gets caught out and recognized by her friends, who laugh at her for dressing as a girl.
  • Secret Identity: The Cocktail Knights keep their identities secret, under pain of The Fair Folk they contracted with convicting them in fairy court and turning them into animals.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Much of the comedy and sweet moments come from Sora teasing Riku about his crush on Valencia, Sora's secret identity. As Sora doesn't realize that Riku knows her secret, she's a lot flirtier than she intends to be. Riku, for his part, can easily proclaim his love for Valencia's attributes without Sora taking it personally for similar reasons.
