** Co-creator Creator/SteveDitko a few years after he finished Spider-Man became known as an Objectivist, and his abrupt departure is often seen as a result of a political disagreement between him and Lee. Much of which is conjecture and unverifiable because Ditko was a famous ReclusiveArtist who refused to discuss Spider-Man in detail after he quit. After Ditko left, Lee who was himself quite apolitical at the time but tended to go with general social trends once they became mainstream, in later years would use Spider-Man to put out VerySpecialEpisode most notably the "drug trilogy" and where Ditko in TheSixties made fun of college protestors as BourgeoisBohemian, Lee trying to tap into the college crowd he had come to know on the campus lecture circuit showed them more sympathetically.

* ''Fanfic/TheSaviorKingTheMasterTacticianAndTheQueenOfLiberation'' has at least two such instances where characters echo the author's pet peeves about certain aspects of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses''. One chapter has Claude verbally ream Lonato over his attacking his adopted son Ashe during the Magdred Way chapter (citing ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGaiden'' as a counter-example). Another has several characters ranting about the implausibility of [[spoiler:Edelgard's]] post-war ambitions, echoing the author's criticisms of that character's story route.

** He is vocally atheist (likely as a result of growing up in Belfast, the epicenter of UsefulNotes/TheTroubles), and many of his stories feature mocking depictions of God. Of especial note is ''ComicBook/{{Preacher}}'', in which God is the main villain and is revealed to be behind every crisis in history as a demented test to see what humanity's limit for loving him is - to the point that there's a scene set in the late 1800s where he sends his plans to cause UsefulNotes/TheHolocaust to Satan and an angel of death for proofreading.

* Very common in ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' fanfics:
** In the infamous ''Fanfic/MyImmortal'', everyone turns into a goffik Stanist who swears a lot and sticks their middle finger up at preps. They also develop an unhealthy preoccupation with slitting their wrists. However, due to its status as a ([[PoesLaw possible]]) TrollFic, this ridiculousness is likely quite intentional.
%%** There is a fic about Harry Potter [[RedScare battling the threat of communism]]. The first Harry Potter book is set in 1991, the year the UsefulNotes/ColdWar ended.
%%** In many conversion fics, Harry abandons 'witchcraft' and becomes devoted to some monotheistic religion.
* While labeled as ''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'' fanfics of all things, the stories ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6048227/1/APH-Israel-s-Workout Israel's workout]]'' and ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5874478/1/Axis-Powers-Hetalia-Two-Americas The Two Americas]]'' are really very extreme Conservative and racially insensitive propaganda at that. The first depicts the AnthropomorphicPersonification of Palestine as an AxCrazy thug and ends with the protagonist, Israel, ranting about how Palestinians are AlwaysChaoticEvil. The Second depicts a ''UsefulNotes/BarackObama'' as a [[StrawCharacter Straw Liberal]] that antagonizes the "real" conservative America.

* The biggest failing of ''Film/LadyInTheWater'' was that it was just two hours of Creator/MNightShyamalan rubbing his self-indulgence in our faces. The movie is pretty much centered around inspiring a writer (not surprisingly, played by Shyamalan himself) into writing a book that will change the world for the better at the cost of being martyred in a HeroicSacrifice. He also includes a TakeThat against the [[TakeThatCritics film critics]] who gave his earlier movies negative reviews by putting in a film critic character who is an [[StrawCritic arrogant, unlikeable man]] who dies a horrible death... and was one of the most popular characters among viewers.

* A somewhat humorous example: ''ComicBook/AnimalMan''. Creator/GrantMorrison used it to constantly pitch for animal rights, particularly stating that HumansAreTheRealMonsters and eating animals is wrong. [[MediumAwareness Part of the plot was also the fact that the main character was slowly realizing he was in a comic book.]] In the last issue of Morrison's run, Animal Man and [[AuthorAvatar Morrison]] talk face to face, and Animal Man points out that animal rights are all well and good - but sometimes they verged on eco-terrorism. And that sharing minds with animals shouldn't automatically make you a vegetarian since half of the time you're going to be sharing minds with a carnivore. And all of this felt like CharacterDerailment. Morrison admits they has some good points but wonders if the next writer will take that too far and have Animal Man run down a zebra and eat it alive. As both a ContinuityNod and a TakeThat, the ''next writer had him do just that in the very next issue.''

Added DiffLines:

* ''Comicbook/SwampThing'': A one-off villain from Martin Pasko's run is a vicious caricature of Creator/FredRogers who is possessed by a flesh-eating demon, and who deliberately teaches an overly-idealized view of the world on his show so children will let their guard down around him and the demon can eat them. After Swampy banishes the demon, one of the side characters notes that children should be taught the ugly aspects of the world from the earliest ages so as to discourage them coming to harm due to their naivety, views that are clearly Pasko's own.
